Friday Caption Fun, Round 101

Master Chief Muscle PictureIf you came up with a witty quip last week, you more than likely found yourself thinking, “Geez, I feel like I’ve done this 100 times!” And it’s because you have! Last Friday, for our centennial celebration, we collectively captioned a Photoshopped picture of a massively-muscled Master Chief. The image was epic, and so were your responses. Let’s go over the LOL-worthy ones before we continue the tradition of tackling yet another Halo 3 screenshot!

  • “You said you were gonna wear something nice.” (AusQB)
  • “Do I need a weapon? Who needs weapons when you have guns like these?” (CrazedOne1988)
  • “What? I heard Grunts like nipples.” (JLay)
  • “After close consideration, Chief realized he was too sexy for his armor.” (lifeskoolthug)
  • “Real men don’t need armor, they just wear Old Spice.” (General Vaguneness)
  • “Johnson in the background quickly realized that the Chief clearly knew more about what the ladies like then he did.” (ComaToast)
  • “Da Chief is here to Pump…*clap”… You Up!” (ZZoMBiE13)
  • “Johnson is also heavily muscled. No, not the Sargent!” (noskills117)

Friday Caption Fun, Round 100!

Halo 3 ScreenshotWednesday was Bungie Day, and Halo loyalists everywhere received a healthy serving of new Reach information along with a spattering of flames. If you thought the fun and games ended there though, I’m happy to tell you that you are mistaken because this week we celebrate the 100th round of our Friday Caption Fun festivities! I have a surprise for you in the form of a very special picture, but first let’s recap last week’s responses. You know the drill!

  • “2 Spartans 1 cup.” (lozg1985)
  • “Why do Spartan golfers bring two sets of power armour? In case they get a hole in one!” (Owl Assassin)
  • “Even when playing Halo, Tiger Woods still manages to get multiple holes.” (Rippolighter159)
  • “Who knew pole dancing could be so dangerous?” (Zelp)
  • “Golftacular! Gained the lead!” (jVictor)
  • “That wasn’t Red’s hole in one… Blue shot it from orbit.” (retinence)
  • “Hey! Steve! You still gonna whine about being teabagged? Or do you prefer the balls I’m dropping on you now?” (S)
  • “Hole in… Two?” (A Pointless Paradox)

Bungie Day 2010: Fires All Go Out Eventually, Part 2

Yesterday, amidst the grassy knolls, snowy valleys, and sandy expanses that make up our favorite virtual battlefield, were thousands of carousing Spartans, every single one of which had fire dancing atop their iconic Halo 3 helmet. As quickly as the flames came though, they also disappeared. Today we remember, not only when we played with fire, but when we were the ones sporting it.

Go-Go-Gadget Halo Flaming Helmet!

Halo 3 Screenshot

Today is Bungie Day, and one way our favorite developers are commemorating the occasion is by bestowing fire to the heads of whomever plays during this short, 24-hour period. To activate your temporary flames, simply select the appropriate chest piece from your usually bare and boring armor collection. After you’re done prancing around with your fancy, new helmet adornment, snap a screenshot of your hawt self and send me a link to it via the contact form. If I get enough pictures, I’ll post them tomorrow for a post-Bungie Day celebration. By the way, if the image is particular entertaining, original, humorous, or just spectacularly captured, you’ll get a buttload of nonexistent bonus points. Now go get your flame on! More than you usually do anyways.
