4th Annual “Fight Like a Girl” Halo Charity Tournament

FLAG halo tournament

If you’ve ever wished you could make a difference just by playing your favorite video game, your dream has officially come true. Fight Like a Girl, an annual Halo charity tournament presented by The Cavegirls, is upon us once again. Taking place over Xbox Live the weekend of October 17th and 18th, this year’s events include FFA, 2v2, and 4v4. Single entries cost a mere $10, and each and every dollar donated goes towards finding a cure for breast and cervical cancer, diseases that affect thousands of women and their families every year. There are prizes of course but really, do you need anything more than that warm, fuzzy feeling you get from consciously making this world a better place? I didn’t think so. Go read the details and then get to signing up. Those bewbs aren’t going to save themselves you know!

Win My PAX ’09 Swag Bag!

pax '09 swag bag

Video game conventions are incredible for two primary reasons- the abundance of women dressed in suggestive video game-themed costumes and the ease at which you can acquire a bag full of awesome swag. I’ve already given you some pictures of the former so now it’s time for your shot at the latter. Up for grabs are all the things I collected from various gaming companies over the long three day weekend, plus a very special item (a Cortana faceplate slathered in autographs) from my own personal collection. If you want to win my PAX ‘09 swag bag, simply leave a comment on this article listing at least one of the Bungie signatures adorning the amazing faceplate. You may comment once a day and while you will not be disqualified for leaving multiple comments, only the first one from each 24 hour period will be considered valid. This giveaway closes on September 24th so hit the jump for the complete list of prizes, close-up pictures of everything, and all the specifics.

PAX Sound Bites ‘09

pax schmaxWhile PAX, a gamer festival held over Labor Day weekend every year, is primarily focused on exhibitor booths, geek concerts, panels, and tournaments, there is a strong sense of community there as well. Putting a face to a name is one of the best parts of the experience, along with the interactions that come along with that. Here’s a brief glimpse into some of mine. Well, the ones that are suitable for publishing anyways.

BigCountry1369: Let’s just say someone’s not walking right today.
me: Vids or it didn’t happen.
BigCountry1369: You into that sort of stuff?
me: Well, pics are ok too I guess.
