Halo Armor Variants: The Tattoo Version

Some people spend months making the perfect set of MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor. Others simply have it inserted with indelible ink directly into their skin. Seth is someone who happily finds himself in the latter group. Working towards the eventual goal of a full arm sleeve, this particular Halo fanatic currently has part of an upper plate tattooed upon his left arm with plans to move onto the lower one next. Further down the line will be black ribbing in between the plates along with plenty of green shading, but that’s subject to change as Joseph Barr, the talented tattooist who’s free handing the design, tends to get new ideas with each session. I wonder if one of his future suggestions will be a codpiece. Fingers crossed!!

The Road to a Recon Tattoo

Halo Recon Tattoo

Halo 3 has several different armor permutations you can unlock to customize your multiplayer character, but the road to acquiring the highly coveted Recon variant is not an easy one. While it’s typically full of tedious tasks and arduous undertakings, it was an especially perilous journey for one particular gamer by the name of Henry. Back on September 26th, 2008, Henry and a few of his friends decided to plug in an extra controller and boost their way to their original rank which had been reset in a recent title update. Subsequently they were banned for a two week period but more than that, their ability to win Recon in various Bungie-sanctioned contests disappeared. When a new opportunity arose with the release of Halo: ODST, Henry was ecstatic. He traversed his way down the Road to Recon and unlocked the last achievement, Endure, on October 12th. The blood, sweat, and tears he poured into this feat were so significant to him that he decided to immortalize it forever by permanently inking his acquisition directly onto his chest. That’s right, he’s got a fucking Recon helmet tattooed above his left nipple. Just try to take that away Bungie!

I Choose (These Pokémon) Shoes

I guess you could say that Misakochan kinda likes collecting, training, and battling fictional, insect-like creatures. It was that exact minimal interest that drove her to painstakingly draw all 151 original Pokémon on her previously stark white shoes. You know what they say, gotta sketch ‘em all! More pictures are waiting for you after the jump should you have the desire to view ‘em all. Oh man, I could do this all day. Or at least until I bug the shit out of you all!

This Halo Sword Tattoo Just May Give You a Splatter Medal

Halo Sword Tattoo

Jade loves Halo and Cez loves Jade so it only makes sense that Cez, a 3D modeler who just happens to be studying Games Design, would draw a Sangheili-themed sketch for her fanatical significant other. Featuring two Type-1 Energy Swords caught in mid-clash, this beautiful blue tattoo was permanently inked onto Jade’s lower back. I don’t see a Slice ‘N Dice going down from this particular body marking, butt I can see a Splatter happening in a heartbeat. Tell me you saw what I did there because I was waiting forever to crack that joke! Get it? Butt? Crack? Oh man, I’m laughing my ass off over here! Someone do a rimshot, stat!
