Wondering what games are expected to hit store shelves next month? Here is what you can expect for the month of June, assuming there are no delays.

Grid - 06.03.08
Racing - Rated Everyone

Features (from IGN.com) :
Grid is a true evolution for Codemasters’ acclaimed racing series, which first appeared as the TOCA Touring Car games (1997–2000) and became the TOCA Race Driver series (2002-2006). Challenging players to become the number one race driver in a new world of exhilarating motorsport, Race Driver: Grid takes players on a tour like never before; to beautifully realized racing locations through Europe, the U.S., Japan and beyond. The game will feature the most extensive range of events in the series, combining official circuit-based championships with road races and urban street competitions.

Double EXP weekend is back, and so is everybody’s favorite hammer wielding, no shield wearing, ball carrying, lag loving Spartan sport of explosive craziness. Hop onto Halo 3 anytime until 2am PDT Monday morning and you can enjoy the entertaining antics of Grifball while receiving a significant boost to your experience. The Spring League map variant is being used thus making it more difficult for those jerkfaces who enjoy escaping the map once they gain the lead because they can’t win any other way. In conjunction with the weekend’s festivities is a screenshot contest going on over at Grifball.com so check that out if you feel so inclined. Think you may see me in this temporary ravenous orange killing playlist? Clearly you don’t know me at all.

Some people prefer their consoles to be furry and luxuriously soft to the touch. Other people desire something that closely resembles a large scaly reptile that resides in a freshwater environment. Xbox 360 modder dfwmonkie is clearly one of the latter. He created a custom alligator-themed Xbox 360, complete with a scary eyeball on the power button.

The making of the “got gator?” pictures are really quite interesting. Technabob reports that dfwmonkie “created the system’s scaly gator skin using hand-sculpted layers of Bondo, coated with paint and clear-coat to give it the glossy wet look.” Personally, this console reminds me of the Godzilla Size Does Matter poster. But I guess alligator works too.

The official Rock Band drum set is noisy, unattractive, and flimsy at best. Thankfully there have been an abundance of mods designed for both aesthetic and durability purposes. This particular mod is definitely one of the most impressive ones I have seen to date.

Featuring beautiful window screen mesh heads, this wooden Rock Band drum set is more than easy on the eyes. EDrums.info has a complete tutorial with detailed instructions (including pictures) both for the drum kit and also the drum rack so you can try your hand at making it if you so desire. While I have the desire, I certainly don’t have the skill so I will just have to picture these gorgeous drums while I pound furiously away on my less than optimal ones. Curses.

Is your Xbox 360 headset a mangled mess from being your dog’s favorite chew toy? Have you always wanted that useless text messaging kit just so you can spam the hell out of your friends list but couldn’t justify the $30 price tag? If so, you may want to whip out your plastic card of money making magic because Amazon is running a special through May 24th (11:59 PST) on select Xbox 360 accessories. Specials include :

There is nothing I love more than wearing my video games around my neck. Sometimes I will even wear them in my nose. I have yet to wear them around my wrist though, but this bracelet just may change that.

Purchase here : sophiesbead’s Etsy Store
Price : $24.99
This video game controller-themed bracelet features handmade polymer clay charms. Receiving some love on this adorable piece of jewelry are miniature versions of an Xbox 180 controller, an Xbox 360 controller, an NES controller, an Nintendo gun controller, a Wiimote, an X-plorer guitar, and an Atari joystick. Noticeably absent is anything even remotely PlayStation related. I guess it scores points for accuracy, eh?

Dust off your favorite long range weapon because it’s time for Halo 3’s Double EXP Weekend. Until Monday you will have the opportunity to play Team Snipers while simultaneously scoring a hefty dose of experience. I may be an expert at handling the long barrel but I certainly can’t snipe worth shit so you may see me in this playlist simply trying to get some practice. Then again I don’t enjoy dying repeatedly without being able to take a single step so I may try to find something to do this weekend that I actually like. If you hop into this cursory sharpshooter heaven, enjoy your headshots. Just not on me.

What path do you follow on this geek lifecycle flow chart? It doesn’t describe me in the least bit so even though it’s fairly humorous, I seriously doubt its overall accuracy. I mean, blogging about diagrams? Who the hell does that?
