I’d Hit This Box

Mario Case

I carelessly throw my copious amounts of gaming accessories haphazardly in a disorderly pile, constructing a chaotic orgy of tangled cords, plastic peripherals, and old discarded game cases. J. Jamme finds himself a bit more organized though which is clearly reflected in his latest chic creation. A master at merging old French furniture with contemporary inspiration, he created what he has dubbed the MarioBox. It contains three compartments (one for GameCubes and joysticks, one for cables, and one for games and memory cards, pictures of which are located after the jump) and when closed, it also moonlights as a chair complete with comfy padding. There’s nothing I love more than a good box! But I’m guessing you already knew that.

A Custom Modern Warfare 2 Xbox 360

Modern Warfare 2 Xbox 360 Mod

Apparently confused about the primary weapon that should be used in the Call of Duty series, somebody more than a little excited about the upcoming release of Modern Warfare 2 has already created an Xbox 360 mod not featuring grenades but instead putting the focus on bullets. Riddled with numerous Israeli-made 9mm shells, this custom console is adorned with a shotgun slug backing on the power button, a casing covering the sync button, and lighting elements illuminating both the disc tray and the side graphic (detailed pictures of which are located after the jump). It’s currently up for grabs on eBay and considering it’s primarily black, perhaps those night vision goggles will come in handy for more than just peeing in the dark after all.

The Man of Even More Consoles

When we last visited the wondrous world of hellon earth159 and his more than impressive Xbox 360 collection, he had 21 full limited edition consoles along with plans in place to purchase numerous more. Considering that was a very long eight months ago, the sentiments that his accumulation has increased tenfold probably could have gone unspoken. I initially planned on only showing you the Halo-themed ones but after carefully poring over the complete collection, I think a full update is warranted. Enjoy ogling his newest additions and on a personal aside, your jealousy is quite unbecoming. Just thought you should know.

A Slightly Sticky Halo-Themed Xbox 360

custom halo xbox 360

If someone’s ever lectured you about the importance of choosing your friends wisely, you will kick yourself when you see this example of the wisdom behind the advice. EvilDan, a rather generous deviantART user, decided to try his hand at console customizing with his friend being the lucky beneficiary. Finding his motivation from the always inspirational Halo, this Xbox 360 mod (more pictures of which are located after the jump) features an impending confrontation between a plasma grenade-throwing Master Chief and a sword-wielding Elite. We may not know exactly how this scene plays out but if my Halo playing experience is any indicator, Master Chief will overthrow the grenade, the Elite will lunge when his reticle turns red but still miss, and some bastard will come up behind them both, haphazardly firing rockets and scoring a double kill. Fucking douchebag. Not that I’m bitter or anything.

Septagon Xbox 360 Case Mod

septagon xbox 360 modBungie fanatics love the Septagon, but none so much as Aron (aka SgtSmackaho). Originally created in honor of the community, this beloved symbol has slowly come to represent all things Bungie. When asked to describe the iconic image in a single word, Aron’s response rambles on to include three: simple, symmetrical, and above all else, damn sexy. It also happens to be the focus of his most recent Xbox 360 case mod. With an overall desire to keep it clean, Aron carved the Septagon into the side of his console, painted the entire thing a shimmery silver, and slapped on some LEDs because, as he said, “If there is a GIANT hole in your case, you might as well light it up so you can see what’s in there!” While he has more plans to spruce this sucker up (by adding plexiglass amongst other things), I’m going to go ahead and make a note here. Huge success!
