Mona Lisa Makes This Custom Xbox 360 a Classic

The Mona Lisa, a sixteenth-century portrait painted in oil on a poplar pane, is arguably one of the most famous paintings in the world. If you happen to be a fan of this popular piece of artwork, you’ll be excited to know it was recently recreated upon an Xbox 360. While a video game item is undoubtedly an unusual medium for classic art, the iconic image of a slightly smiling woman adorns one side of the interactive entertainment device while the artist used the second side of the case to flex his creative muscles. I’m thinking 2 Girls, 1 Box would be an excellent alternative title for this custom console (and that’s not just because I think it looks like shit either!). It can be purchased on everybody’s favorite auction site so hit the link to place a bid, or hit the jump to take a gander at a picture of the other side. One of those things causes more trauma than the other, but I’m not saying which one. As The Go-Go’s once stated, my lips are sealed. When penises aren’t involved anyways.

A Still Intact Steampunk Xbox 360 Controller

Some people love the pseudo-Victorian mechanical look while others simply enjoy things that lean toward the impractical side. Luckily fans of both camps will adore Minister Morbid’s newest creation. Featuring real leather, custom buttons, and an antique wood finish, this steampunk-style Xbox 360 controller is fully functional and can be yours for a teeny tiny investment of US $120. Fair warning though, if you use the guide button even semi-frequently, you may want to pass because the only way it can be accessed is through the insertion of a skeleton key. Kinda reminds me of my chastity belt. Well, except for the fact that my lock is set to automatically open anytime it detects penis.

Reach for this Custom Halo-Themed Xbox 360

When Bungie officially dropped the release date for Halo: Reach, I rushed to my nearest brick and mortar game store and pre-ordered a few copies. Corpsefactory99, who’s equally passionate but astoundingly more talented, celebrated in a more unique way. He grabbed his super fancy computed numerically controlled machine and cut an outline of the cover art directly into an Xbox 360 case. After painting it glossy black, he pieced everything back together and was left with the most gorgeous Halo: Reach-themed Xbox 360 to date. After fully digesting the pictures, I have to admit that is one box I’d just love to get my hands on!
