My Needler is Apparently Broken

I am officially a Halo 3: Confirmed Kills slacker. I was completely unaware of the first three episodes, saw the fourth, missed the next three and luckily managed to catch this one. Apparently I am only capable of watching every fourth video in this series which is too bad because they really are quite entertaining. Comprised of Halo 3 gameplay clips ranging from average to lucky to completely bad ass, the play that comes in at #2 in this video is worth watching all of the other (sometimes boring) clips. If only my needler worked that well.

Super Mario Belly Dancing

Belly dancing, a Middle Eastern dance that focuses on the pelvic and hip area, is typically a very sensual art form where the dancer expresses the emotion of a song through primarily circular movements. Some dances are more lighthearted than others, and this Super Mario routine is an example of just that. This particular interpretation is a very creative way to pay homage to everybody’s favorite classic video game. The beginning is rather slow; my favorite part doesn’t start until about 1:45 so hang in there at least until then. And don’t worry, it’s completely tasteful and safe for work so enjoy!

A Tower of Men

When I was wading through the wastelands of YouTube this morning looking for a Halo related Mother’s Day video to post, I ran across this little gem. It’s not hilarious, it’s not high quality machinima, it is nothing that will blow you away. However it perfectly captures the essence of Mother’s Day in my opinion. It is a video that someone lovingly made for their mother on a medium that they are familiar with. You can hear a little sister in the background giggling away towards the end of the video. It just makes my heart happy. Plus, I kinda have a thing for towers of men.

Pretty and Boring, Like Most Women

An Excuse to Drink More

If you liked the Mario theme song played on wine bottles by a carefully controlled RC car, you will love this version of the Tetris theme song energetically performed by an informal three person bottle band. I was enthralled by the guy in the black hoodie, but I am sure the other two people are worth watching as well. I just haven’t done that yet. Nor do I plan to.

The Hardest but Cutest Song in Guitar Hero

While I am not a negative person, I do consider myself a realist so I readily admit there are certain things I will never be able to accomplish in my lifetime. Passing Through the Fire and Flames on Guitar Hero III is one of those things. I could practice that nasty intro one thousand times a day for five million years straight and I still would never see anything higher than a four percent completion rate. It’s just the way it is. After watching this video, I am thankful that Mario Paint is not a playable game the same way Guitar Hero is because I clearly wouldn’t be able to pass it on this cute little musical game either.

A Halo 3 Dualtage

While I absolutely love machinima, montages are simply not my thing. In fact the last Halo-themed montage I saw was The Dead Serious Tage which was back in the glorious days of Halo 2. When I recently watched Phurion and Fluxy: Halo 3 Montage (Dualtage) though, I don’t think my eyes left the screen once. Gameplay is amazing, editing is phenomenal, and it is an all around incredible video. I caught it when it was first put up on YouTube, and I enjoyed it so much that I checked back a few times to watch it again once the high res version was available. Yup, it’s that good. So go watch it. And enjoy.

I Love Springtime

This must be why Grand Theft Auto is such a popular series. What a nice game!

Xbox Live Orientation

I think users new to the service of Xbox Live could definitely use a few tips and pointers on how to successfully maneuver through the virtual world of online games. If anybody were to create a realistic orientation video, I bet it would be something like this. And yes, your mom makes an appearance. But you probably already knew that, right?

*A special thank you to Geek For Hire for the tip!

Pew Pew Pew

Warning : This is not a Halo video. The horror! Just pretend like they are Spartans and everything will be ok, I promise. (And if you don’t play the Quake series, just for the record I highly recommend it. Going through the stroggification process in Quake 4 is one of my most memorable gaming moments ever.)

Is your weapon of choice not always up for the job? Do you try everything within your power to shoot a massive load but sometimes your gun just won’t cooperate? You are not alone. Many people suffer from Projectile Dysfunction but thankfully there are options. Rest assured a flaccid gun does not have to be your ultimate fate. (giggles maniacally at all the horrible jokes eeked out in a single paragraph)
