Fuel Your Game and Your Thirst

There is nothing I love more than a nice, long marathon session of friendly fragging. I turn on my television, crank up the surround sound, and settle back into the depths of my couch in preparation for the lengthy battle ahead. I game the same way I nap. Long, hard, and hopefully uninterrupted. I will take emergency bathroom breaks when necessary, otherwise I need to be dying of hunger or thirst in order to get up. If you are anything like me, this handy little mini cooler would be the perfect addition to your gaming room.

Mini coolers are awesome, but mini coolers plastered with pictures of your favorite video game are even more awesome. This small Halo-themed box of refrigerated goodness is ready to keep your favorite caffeinated beverage frosty cold and at arm’s length so you can happily frag your friends until the wee hours of the morning. You can even slide a few sandwiches in there so you don’t have to get up when you feel those annoying pangs of hunger. If only this Master Chief mini cooler had a urinal attached. Then it would be the best gaming accessory ever.

A Robot You Can Play With

I have had a thing for robots ever since the day Johnny 5 first made an appearance in Short Circuit. If you are asking “Who’s Johnny?” (someone better pick up on what I just did there), then perhaps instead you will be familiar with WALL-E, the robot from a Pixar movie expected to release this summer. While I thought of Johnny 5 when I first saw this custom Gamecube, younger people will probably recognize WALL-E right away.

This robotic console, which stands approximately 10″ tall and about 9 1/2″ wide, is an one of a kind custom fully functional Nintendo GameCube. He comes with all the cables and also a controller so he is ready to play with you in a way only a Nintendo GameCube robot can. The builder really did a great job making him look just like WALL-E. Of the side by side images, the picture on the left is the Nintendo GameCube, the picture on the right is from the movie. Pretty cool, eh?

Master Chief Turns to the Dark Side

Sometimes two completely different concepts come together to create one absolutely amazing by-product. A recent notable example of this would be the My Little Master Chief Pony which simply reeks of awesomeness. Another example would be this customized Halo 3 figure.

Halo 3 Darth Maul Master Chief

Purchase here : darthdusty’s eBay Store
Starting bid : US $14.99
Auction ends : Apr-26-08 11:20:18 PDT

This unique custom Spartan McFarlane action figure is a spectacular mashup of Master Chief and Darth Maul. Sporting the familiar red and black armor along with the instantly recognizable crown of horns, he comes with two different weapons so you can choose to either have him wield the Halo weapon (an assault rifle) or the Star Wars weapon (a red double-bladed lightsaber). As many Halo fanatics are also Star Wars fans, this action figure is a cool twist on the traditional good versus evil. Will he use his powers to save the human race from the Covenant forces or will he betray his master to prove his worth as the Dark Lord of the Sith? More importantly though, who’s hotter, Cortana or Princess Leia?

Most Expensive Halo 3 Hot Wheels Ever?

These just may be the most expensive custom Halo 3-themed Hot Wheels you will ever see. I would say that with more conviction except I have only run across one other customized Halo 3 Hot Wheels car so let’s just say between the two I am familiar with, this one is definitely pricier. By about $650.

This ‘62 Volkswagen drag bus two car set is bound to cause you a serious case of sticker shock but fret not. Included in this auction along with the two vehicles are also four handpainted figures. Is the price tag making a little more sense to you now? Yeah, me neither. Regardless, both the “Good Guys” bus and the “Bad Guys” bus feature various images of Master Chief with lots and lots of flames, all on top of a black background. Perhaps you can pretend they are in a rock band and these are their tour buses because I certainly can’t picture these being driven into battle. For $700 I would have expected some turrets. Of the gauss variety. That actually work. On real size cars.

Power-ups for Your Rock Band Drums

I have seen some interesting covers meant for quieting down the obnoxiously loud banging of the Rock Band drums. Some are made of foam and felt and others are crocheted and could double as hats. This is the first set I have seen though that is actually more than four boring primary colored circles.

Current bid : US $0.99
Auction ends : Apr-19-08 18:04:58 PDT

These absolutely adorable mushroom drum pads were lovingly crafted by Jennifer and Vance of Behold the Mundane. The only way they could be more awesome is if they could actually be activated as power-ups. How cool would it be if one of them kept your piece of shit guitar’s strum bar from breaking? Or if another one made your crappy drum set pedal not break after using it all of two times? Or better yet, what if one of them made you sound halfway decent when you were singing? I can’t say if I would purchase these because then I would have to admit whether or not I actually own this game, and I would never willingly give Sigafoos that pleasure. So instead I will just say these are pure win and leave it at that.

An Even Realer Life Size Energy Sword

If the silver Halo 3 sword that was crafted out of stainless steel wasn’t real enough for you, then perhaps you will find this latest version more appealing. Made by the same company that did the last one, this sword stays a little truer to our favorite video game, at least in appearance.

halo 3 energy sword

Purchase here : lionheartsrealm’s eBay Store
Starting bid : US $174.95
Auction ends : Apr-13-08 20:19:24 PDT

This three foot sword weighs a decently solid six pounds and still sports a blade crafted from stainless steel, only this time it also has a blue energy finish. No, it still isn’t made out of actual energy. I guess you’ll just have to keep waiting for that one. Wihle the speckled appropriately colored finish is nice and all, does the damn thing clash every time you get in a sword fight or does the lunge actually kill someone? Give me the latter and perhaps I will pay the big bucks.

My Little Master Chief Pony

Once upon a time (way back in the glorious days of the ’80s) I was known far and wide for my massive My Little Pony collection. I had pink ponies. I had yellow ponies. I had ponies with short tails. I had ponies with long tails. I had ponies with rainbows on their butts. I had every single My Little Pony that had caught my little eye and then some. This custom My Little Pony would not have fit in with my childhood collection but it sure would fit in nicely with my current Halo collection.

Purchase here : masamune_studios eBay Store
Starting bid : US $45.00
Auction ends : Apr-07-08 21:01:04 PDT

This one of a kind custom Halo-themed My Little Pony is not only ridiculously unique but it also won second place in the Kentucky anime/gaming/comic custom pony contest. Sporting green weathered Mjolnir IV armor sculpted with Apoxie sculpt, this Spartan pony is ready for battle. All she needs is an Arbiter My Little Pony companion. And a Cortana My Little Pony friend too. I do believe I could reach the same level of fame I had achieved as a child if I were to begin collecting Halo My Little Ponies. And to think, I thought I would never be that cool again.

How Much Would You Pay For Mii?

Miis are pretty darn cute, there is no doubt about it. But did you know those customizable Nintendo Wii characters are also serious business? World-renowned Master Mii Artisan Bobby Bobby (who is currently ranked #1 on the American Mii Artisan Rankings on the Check Mii Out channel) is now offering personalized Miis on eBay for all of you hardcore gamers desiring a “professional touch to your Mii avatar”. You would think with his impressive credentials and fancy title that his services would run you hundreds of dollars, but he somehow manages to keep his prices at only $7.99 per Mii.

mii portfolio

He offers a small portfolio of past clients so you can take a peek at his work. Spitting images of the person they are patterned after? I will let you be the judge of that. Thankfully the Mii ordering process is quite simple. You send him a picture of yourself, preferably a nice headshot, and he sends you a personalized Mii a few days later. I just may need to get into this business. I could add my own little touch of adding a small pink bow to every client. I am sure everybody would love that.

This Shirt is Still Alive

Still Alive, the song that entertained us during the final credits of Portal, quickly became a fan favorite as players rejoiced in the brilliance of the clever but short puzzle game. If you were one of the fans touched by the quirky melody and catchy lyrics, you will appreciate this t-shirt adorned with Jonathan Coulton’s autograph.

autographed portal shirt

Purchase here : linandb’s eBay Store
Current bid : US $26.00
Auction ends : Apr-02-08 10:32:34 PDT

This Penny Arcade Portal “Slide” t-shirt was autographed by Jonathan Coulton in shimmery silver permanent marker after a concert at Atlanta’s Variety Playhouse. The best thing about this auction is that 100% of the proceeds will go to Child’s Play (a well known gamers’ charity which benefits sick children). Not only will you be helping a worthy cause and getting a totally kick ass t-shirt, but you will also receive the very marker Jonathan Coulton used when signing the shirt. I know, it’s the icing on the delicious and moist cake.

Waiting for it. Cause I know it’s coming.

UPDATE : This item sold for US $100.00.
