The Next Stop for this Post-it Note Creation Is a Landfill

ET Post-it Note Creation

Typically when people make video game-themed artwork out of Post-it notes, it’s because they have a certain affinity for whatever it is they happen to be recreating. From the looks of coderanger’s latest contribution to his office’s decor however, I’m guessing he hates his coworkers, boss, and every single person who is forced to walk the stark, white hallway that houses his nightmare-inducing handiwork. His giant formation of small sticky papers, which bears the same shape as the lead character from Atari’s E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, is unfortunately something you can’t unsee. Sorry about that, by the way. I just figured if I had to be tortured, it’s only fair that you should be too.

Halo: Reach, Heavy Metal Style

Copper Halo: Reach

What’s cheap, older than the Stone Age, and loves nothing more than getting thrown down on a soft surface and pounded with a variety of tools? If you said me, your prize is awaiting you behind the door to the left. If you said the chemical element with the symbol Cu, then perhaps you’re in gigaguy123‘s art class. Last time he was handed a school assignment, he produced an amazing metal Master Chief. When faced with a second task, he opted to create something from Halo: Reach. Deciding upon an Invasion theme, he pressed out and stained an Elite versus Spartan showdown of epic proportions, all upon a single sheet of copper. If I were his teacher, I would have given this project an F. Because it’s fucking awesome!

Balloon Yoshi Is Full of Hot Air

Balloon Yoshi

Jay is an artist that specializes in transforming inflatable flexible bags into various family-friendly figures. All of his balloon creations are amazing but none so much as when they valiantly venture into the vast world of video games. One of his more recent pieces is the perfect example of that. Constructed from green, red, and white balloons, this air-filled Yoshi is instantly recognizable as everybody’s favorite, fictional dinosaur. Let’s just say with a tongue like that, I’d take him as my companion any day! I meant so he could clear the path of various annoying, little critters, jeez. What did you think I was talking about, anyways?

You Don’t Have to Be a Tramp to Like this Master Chief Stamp

Master Chief Stamp

Sometimes, if something you want isn’t available, the only option is making it yourself, and that is exactly what Andrea did. Desperately in need of a stamp for a swap, she carefully carved into a durable pink eraser until the pressed image more than resembled our favorite Spartan supersoldier. Her Master Chief stamp, which took almost three days to complete, comes ready to imprint the instantly recognizable physique upon any surface that accepts inked images. I’m just happy she only did the upper body, because I happen to have something pink his lower body would look perfect on!
