Armed with her own pattern, twelve hours of spare time, and a buttload of yarn, she made this Pikachu ski mask for facial protection during the cold winter months. I tend to not get excited about Halloween (probably because every day is Dress Like a Slut Day in my world) so when that less than magical holiday rolls around, I subtract an L, throw on my favorite Halo shirt, and call it good. Heather agrees with my overall sentiments but puts a little more effort into her annual ensembles. Crafting a Jackal mask from eyeballs, teeth, and other random body parts that were scattered about her basement, all she has left is slapping on a few more feathers and then this costume can be called complete. Halloween may have already come and gone, but Thanksgiving is right around the corner. As if you need an excuse to crave some of that deliciously moist meat.

Canstruction is a cleverly named design competition where architects, engineers, and students team up to see who can create the biggest, most impressive sculpture comprised solely of unopened cans of food. The results are not only mindblowingly awesome but the entire event is also charitable in nature as all the canned food is donated at the competition’s conclusion to local food banks to aid in the ongoing fight against hunger. This year saw some amazing Pac-Man themed entries, one of which involved the gravity-defying consumption of a blue ghost (a picture of which is waiting for you after the jump). That’s neat and all, but does anybody else smell tuna? Oh wait, I just realized I haven’t showered yet today. My bad!

At an elementary school level paper-mâché is simply a fancy way of making the ultimate spit wad. After reaching an age less obsessed with sticky spheres of pleasure, it transcends into an art form perfect for creating custom keepsakes on a much grander scale. Armed with little more than a small container of glue and large amount of paper, papercraft extraordinaire origamiwolf spent 20 hours carefully crafting himself a lustrous paper-mâché Master Chief helmet. In an effort to give you a simplified description of the process behind making the Halo-themed headgear, he started with something wet and finished with something hard. Story of my life I tell you.

I carelessly throw my copious amounts of gaming accessories haphazardly in a disorderly pile, constructing a chaotic orgy of tangled cords, plastic peripherals, and old discarded game cases. J. Jamme finds himself a bit more organized though which is clearly reflected in his latest chic creation. A master at merging old French furniture with contemporary inspiration, he created what he has dubbed the MarioBox. It contains three compartments (one for GameCubes and joysticks, one for cables, and one for games and memory cards, pictures of which are located after the jump) and when closed, it also moonlights as a chair complete with comfy padding. There’s nothing I love more than a good box! But I’m guessing you already knew that.

Video games. Music. The occasional necktie. The era of those eight notable bits has left its footprints in more than just the sand. It’s even ventured into the realm of matrimony as displayed by this 8-bit wedding invitation. Featuring a groom as player one and the bride as player two, this novel nuptial note pits the almost newlyweds in versus mode instead of cooperative. Based off of that, I’m going to go ahead and call it now. GAME. FUCKING. OVER. Yet again. Seriously, when are you people going to learn?

If I was going to try my hand at making any of the variety of Flood creatures born in the Halo universe, I would simply toss a bag of popcorn into the microwave and call it good. Grandmasterstevo is clearly more creative than I am though because he raided a box of holiday decorations and somehow came away with an adorably disgusting Flood Infection Form. Crafted from items spanning three months worth of festivities, the body is a plastic pumpkin, the back half is a silicone-covered wicker cornucopia, the front feelers are flower-adorned Christmas ornaments, and the legs are party balloons placed over pipe cleaners. Feel free to get up close and personal with this ball-shaped sac after the jump. And don’t worry, those bumps aren’t anything a spot of medicine won’t clear right up for you.

For some people marriage represents a sacred bond uniting two kindred souls. For others it means they are permanently stuck with the most annoying and high demanding person they have ever had the misfortune of meeting. Needless to say this matrimonial accessory is perfect for the latter. Whenever I’ve enjoyed an evening consisting of nothing but a good old fashioned screwing, I’m always left in a state of complete and utter exhaustion. Skittles somehow has the same experience though and comes away with an incredible tangible result. Armed with nothing but a screwdriver, a pocket knife, and an image in his head, he substituted a firm, round pumpkin as the canvas to create his latest Halo-themed masterpiece. His Halloween creation, which will undoubtedly be adorning his porch this Saturday evening, features a flaming ODST helmet with the word Helljumpers bordering the top. I would say Skittles is officially prepared to drop, but I do believe he has already dropped it. Perhaps even like it’s hawt.
