Of course, in Georgia, everytime we sing it at our baseball games (the Atlanta Braves) we sing “and the home of the Braves”, which consequently is our little ‘slogan’ for the team.
Jesus… I think I was 7 when I finally figured out the word wasn’t “Braves”… Go Braves!
This isn’t as patriotic as you would assume… I only count 36 stars… Not perfect, but it gets the point across.

The katana is plenty American nowadays, you have to remember that America is cosmopolitan country and one of the ideals, I at least hold for it, is that we can mix all the wonderful things and people of other cultures to forge something greater than what it is now. actually, when displaying it vertically, that is the proper way. stars should always be on the left. the only exception i can think of is when it’s on the shoulder of a uniform, the stars are forward.
And there’s only 11 stripes, too.
