Of course, in Georgia, everytime we sing it at our baseball games (the Atlanta Braves) we sing “and the home of the Braves”, which consequently is our little ‘slogan’ for the team.
The katana is plenty American nowadays, you have to remember that America is cosmopolitan country and one of the ideals, I at least hold for it, is that we can mix all the wonderful things and people of other cultures to forge something greater than what it is now. Happy Fourth of July. God Bless America, and may He keep on blessing it through all the hardships we are currently facing..
….and may we find a way to reconcile our differences and push together to make of our country the best we can.
Funny, I don’t feel very blessed.
Happy (late) Fourth all the same.
