First Halo: Reach Review Hits the Internet
February 12, 2010 26 Comments
Despite the lack of an official Halo: Reach release date, the first review of the upcoming science fiction video game has already hit the internet. It comes from Marty O’Donnell, the award-winning composer behind many of Bungie’s titles, so it’s safe to assume it’s a bit on the biased side but it still gives a nice glimpse into what we have in store for us come later this year. And don’t worry, even though it’s hiding after the jump, it’s completely spoiler-free.

OMG we were doing the same thing when we saw the footage! XD
My dreams have finally come true!!
Why does everyone pick on Marty so much?
Its cos there jealous…
We don’t pick on Marty. He is our favorite uncle.
PRAISE MARTY MOOSE!
I blame Stosh.
I agree. I think Stosh scapegoats everyone, sets them up, frames them…
So I blame Stosh too.
Screw it. We all know who to actually blame.
GET BACK HERE TLS!
Is TLS a codename for stosh?
Blame Xerone when in doubt. XP
…Sorry Xerone.
Best GIF ever.
WTF…?
That’s a pretty impressive stroke you have there Marty! Looks like about 14 inches!
Any guesses on what he is saying? :P
Your mother’s name.
OH SNAP!!
“These people, and this planet, and this story deserve something new and different. Just a different underlying sense of tragedy… heroism. We’re rebuilding everything from the ground up”
The gif is him saying “underlying sense of”
It’s from the vidoc @ 5:20
Any predictions or guesses or release date for the game? I’m going with November 15th. It seems suitable that they would release their last game on the same day of their first game. It just fits.
It does fit…except for the fact that the last three games out of Bungie have always been on a Tuesday (H2, H3, H3:ODST). Microsoft has been scheduling its major exclusives for Tuesday releases for quite some time now. The 360 itself was also released on a Tuesday.
Most (I’d say definitely in the 90th + percentile) of new media in the United States come out on a Tuesday, with the exception of films going to theatre.
Video game Tuesdays.
Comic book Thursdays.
Movie Fridays.
How do you not know this?
That explains why the door to his studio is always locked :)
Lol. Epic GIF FTW.
YAY! FOR MARTY!
Reach. Reach. Reach.
Not a .gif, but a funny thing happened across my screen when I briefly paused to let the video load the other day:
DAT HALO.
