While normally the last day of the work week would find us engaging in a Friday Caption Fun or Rorschach Inkblot Test activity, I thought today we could try something new. It still involves the captioning of a Halo-themed screenshot, but this time around we are going to do it cheesy internet meme-style. Whether you decide to go the motivational or demotivational route, create an entertaining image using this motivational poster generator and post a link to your creation within a comment. Here are two different images for you to choose from:

Reminder: Play Halo TODAY

Be a HeroAs I’m sure you’ve heard, Bungie is donating $100 for every thousand players (up to $77,000) that sport a red heart emblem and play at least one game of Halo 3 or ODST online. You have until 23:59 PM PST tonight to get that game in so even if the rest of your day is looking busy, I’m sure you have a spare 15 minutes to sign in and frag your fellow charitable-minded friends. Change your emblem, load up some Halo, and play. You know you want to. (How to make the red heart emblem: Press Start, select Settings/Appearance, select Emblem, select the Hearts icon and Circle background, back out to the Appearances menu and select Colors, set Emblem Primary to red (maroon/brick/rose depending on which game you’re playing), and set Emblem Secondary to white.)

Halo 3 Mythic Map Pack 2 Coming to the Xbox LIVE Marketplace

If you are still in need of Heretic, Citadel, and Longshore, the three multiplayer maps comprising the second half of Halo 3′s Mythic Map Pack, they will finally be making their long overdue appearance on the Xbox Live Marketplace for 800microsoft points ($10 USD) on the soonish date of February 2nd. In case Halo 3: ODST has not already familiarized you with this trio of settings, here are brief descriptions of each rather unique arena. Heretic is purple, Citadel is a big box, and Longshore is a long shore. As always, you’re welcome for the invaluable insight.
