Rorschach inkblot tests provide incredible insight into a person’s personality characteristics and emotional functioning. Regardless of the type of ambiguous design displayed, the answers and information gleaned from them are always fascinating. We’ve learned a tremendous amount about each other through our regular Halo 3 Heatmap tests, and I have no doubt today will prove just as entertaining as previous ones. Before we analyze another image though, let’s take a look at the results from the last one we did which took place back in October. The featured map was Heretic and Not Funny kicked off the comments with a Big Daddy reference. Entirely too many people to count found themselves agreeing.
Other video games are usually a popular answer during these festivities, but someone always brings it back to Halo. DieByYourUncleBob insisted the image bore resemblance to the Grunt Head emblem and numerous others, along with myself, saw it as well.
A few other interesting answers included mendicantbias00 saying Lego Princess Leia and Louis Wu citing Dr. Eggman. Unable to choose my favorite between the two, I thought I would leave it up to all of you to decide which one more resembles the Midship remake.
Right as we ran out of room for picture comparisons, I came across Noah’s response of goatse. Talk about bad timing! Unfortunately I’ll have to leave you to judge the similarity of the images in your head as it’s now time to dissect yet another Halo 3 Global Heatmap. The subject of our twelfth enlightening psychological evaluation is Orbital, a docking-station featuring two overlapping hallways. So tell me, what exactly do you see? And as always, extra nonexistent points for originality!

At first I saw the name, “Li” but then I saw some shapes. A silenced pistol like the Auto Mag or the USP .45 is on the left in a sea of fire and blood. There’s a Lightsaber hilt in the center of the heatmap. And there’s a Flashlight on the right which apparently is having a tough time of cutting through the fire and gore. And the Lightsaber would have to be a Sith’s Lightsaber such as Darth Vader’s as only fire immediately surrounds it and blood is on either side of that. I think I’m seeing way too much…

If you turn the left-hand part 90o clockwise, and focus on the space between the red; it looks some kind of hand gun, possible with a silencer. The right-hand gap just looks like a lightsaber handle to me…. possibly too much Force Unleashed?

It looks like a gun and an extra barrel (if you look inside the red lines, the gun is on the left, with the grip pointing to the right, the hammer pointing down, and the barrel pointing up). The spot outlined to the left looks about the same size as the “gun’s” barrel…just my thought.

I think it looks like upside down acrobatic rings with the ceiling tethers shaped like a maze. The rings of the of the figure are rectangles, with the hand grips made out of some sort of energy.
