Exactly one year ago the concept for ODS Steve was born. Initially a single image homage to Mister Chief, it slowly evolved into a full-fledged comic, brightening the Halo universe every week. We may appreciate the smiles it regularly brings us, but it’s fellow comic creators who know just how much time and effort goes into these ventures. Today, as we wish ODS Steve a happy birthday, four very special guests have stopped by to extend their wishes in the best way they know how, in comic-form. Grab a battle rifle, shoot a Grunt to set the mood, and enjoy these comics that celebrate ODS Steve’s, and DeepCee’s, very special day.

To be honest I didn’t think it would last this long (especially since ODST is already out). Congratulations and good job on the comics so far and good luck for more and whatever you do next, and again I’m really sorry for messing up that one comic– I’d ask to be de-credited but it takes some of the embarrassment off you and it’s not really your fault and reading the comments tells you it was wrong and what happened so I guess it should stand.

Congratulations to DeepCee and his creation, ODS Steve. Thanks for keeping me entertained over the past year, and occasionally some friends who I’ve decided to show :D
All the tribute comics are wonderful, bringing their own unique style to the series.
