There Goes the Neighborhood

warthog power wheels

When most people catch a glimpse of a Power Wheels toy car haphazardly barreling down the sidewalk, they tend to only see an expensive battery-powered vehicle suitable for overindulged children. Super modder flux83 however sees them as playthings simply bursting with potential. His latest project involved starting with a 2001 G3740 Street Scene Silverado and modifying it into a Halo 3 M12 Light Reconnaissance Vehicle. It took several steps to complete the transformation (including cutting the body, constructing various parts, bondo modification, and painting) but the resulting Warthog definitely made it time well spent. While the speedometer and headlights are amazing touches, ‘having a great big damn gun don’t hurt, either.’ More pics and a video of the Chupa Thingy in action after the jump.

We heard you like Halo, so we put Halo in your Power Wheels so you can play Halo while you Play outside.

The other daughter(s) would probably highjack it. I bet they’d get the “Maybe Next Time Buddy” achievement in no time!

Am I the only one who thinks a kid that young shouldn’t be driving a vehicle based on an M rated game?

      VEHICULAR MANSLAUGHTER
Just be happy that thing doesn’t go over ten mph, or you’d be stuck in the grill before you could say, “THEY KILLED FLIPYAP!”

Angel! You’re getting pretty close to 7 million hits!

Btw, Knowing my parents, thats DEFINITELY my first car.
Affordable, safe, speed barrier of 15 miles an hour…
Lethal weapon mounted on the rear…
    I’m Set!

This is an excellent idea for a first car actually. No speeding tickets, limited passengers, very little chance of scoring a date … your parents are brilliant!

    There’s just one thing.
Where’s the gunner ment to stand? there’s no space at the back, or maybe it’s part Warthog part Mongoose? with the little fold down flap?

Is the turret movable? Cause that would even more epic.

Cool. I like that the turret can detach.

I do think it a bit strange the kid has his own live account though. (What? I only actually watched the credits of the other video…)
