An Almost Real Fallout 3 AER9 Laser Rifle
September 26, 2009 13 Comments

To say that Harrison Krix makes video game-themed props would be the understatement of the century. To say he bends them over and makes them his bitch would be a bit more accurate. Previous projects of his have included an Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device and also an ADAM extracting syringe so this time around he decided to conquer the post-apocalyptic world of Fallout 3. Knocking it out in a mere four days, this AER9 Laser Rifle started as a misshapen pile of medium-density fiberboard and was magically transformed into the perfect accessory for a Vault Dweller costume. I don’t even think it matters that it can’t turn someone into a pile of ashes becauseĀ I’m pretty sure it could lay on the sidewalk and still kick ass. Hit the jump to see more pictures of it doing just that.

Man, this guy is awesome. I’ve never played Fallout, but that looks cool. And the Portal gun was great.
He made this in four days? Holy cow. @_@
It’s so beautiful… T.T
I got better things to use up my Microfusion Cells with.
Like the Scoped Gauss Rifle :D
This is awesome!
Does he have a site?
Yup! Follow the ‘AER9 Laser Rifle’ link within the article or the one Atlas posted below. He does awesome articles with tons of pictures and details about each project. :)
Yes he does : http://volpinprops.blogspot.com/
And can I just say that this guy is AWESOME!
great job!
When I first saw this, the only semi-coherent sentence I could form in my mind was “I can haz?” Now, however, I’ve recovered my wits enough to add “please?”
I want one!
It looks so awkward to hold.
(Late post is late)
Those 3 holes at the back are not finger holes, if that’s what you were thinking.
Flawless. Now all’s needed is a full set of BOS power armour.
Well, color me impressed (and purple, with a streak of magenta).
