ODST movie all the way. The chief is awesome, but ODST would be more accessible to a wider audience, and would be able to provide more dramatic tension….
I would love to see the Chief act as a Deus Ex Maxhina though :)
Hmm…Elite troops go through intensive training motivated by their desire to avenge lost loved ones and then go off in space to fight aliens? Sounds like Starship Troopers to me! That movie was fail on many levels (although NPH rocks in almost everything else he does). You have got to be able to find better actors than Dr. Christmas Jones in order to pull off a movie as ambitious as Halo.
umm… they also fought bugs… lots of bugs… bugs that could somehow hurl astroids at planets… and one that could eat brains… you know a movie is bad when the ONLY good part is that neil patrick harris was in it!

I am down for a ODST movie. I still want the Halo movie with the Chief, but for me the ODST seem to have a more human feel. If they do make a movie (fingers crossed) per say the Halo movie with the chief, I hope there is a strong story to back up the action. No one wants a box office flop that has explosions and little to no plot, transformers 2 ring a bell? i.e. Halo 1 plot. Anyone who doesn’t agree with me on Transformers 2, I am just voicing my opinion.
Hmm….how about they make a movie where it focuses less on the Chief as much as it does on other characters, like Sergeant Johnson or Cortana or even The Arbiter? As much as I want it to be wholly on the Chief, we all know he doesnt talk much, and wont exactly let you feel…that you know him (the case being if you’ve never played Halo before)

Yeah I like this one a lot, but my only problem is just the video is a little dark, I mean that during the night training scene I had trouble distinguishing what is going on. However I am impressed with the battle scene as there is more than a squad advancing and a brute getting his ass handed to him on a silver platter (Casualties and med evacs action).
As of now I have only been able to find the song done a little differently, but it is the same song. It is Light of Aidan – “Lament”. I am thinking that someone did a special version of the song just for the trailer, kinda like Mastodon did a cover of “One” for Army of Two. Hopefully there is a full version of the song used in the trailer and if not that they will make it.
I was quite happy with the other version of the trailer, but this just makes me happier :)

The fact the ODST took down a Banshee with the Automag to take out the Brute is full of awesome.
