  1. Oh my god oh my god oh my god oh my god oh my god etc etc.

I swear, if EA fucks with this, I am forming an army, and we are going to destroy EA. EA should just learn to sit back and let BioWare do its thing. Which I hope it has done.

But yay. Yay, yay, yay, oh my god yay.

Just recently finished playing through the first Mass Effect – loved it! But I seriously hope the story mode is much longer than the first, just as I was getting into the whole Mass Effect universe and getting submersed in the story – it ended!

Still a very good FPS style RPG but I like my RPG’s to have some length.

Dewd did you try every side-quest? Took me like 80 hours to complete every quest.

      • CodeMonkey76 says:

I just went back and played through the game with my high level character. Going as fast as possible, skipping all side quests, it still took nearly five hours. That’s pretty comparable to other single player campaigns for other games. If you take the time to do each side quest, read the codex, and listen to all dialogue options, they really have created quite an expansive universe there.

I did a fair chunk of side quests but not all, I was planning on finishing Viramire and knowing after that planet the end was near, I was going to finish off the side quests but after a certain point you can’t do that and must finish the story *grumbles*. I suppose most of my RPG experience comes with the Final Fantasy titles, I expect a good 10+ on story alone but that’s just my high expectations. Don’t get me wrong, I thought Mass Effect was a great game, loved the detail and yes, I went through my codex often :p.

I haven’t played the first Mass Effect, but this looks pretty promising.
But anyone else find it kind of funny that they’re giving a trailer for basicly a trailer at E3?

  4. i just jizzed my pants while simultaneously shitting bricks….

  5. ashame says:

Man, I wanna be back on the Norrmandy :)

  6. CodeMonkey76 says:

Usually you’re pretty quick on this angel. Didn’t this come out four days ago? Then again, you do keep pretty glued to that TV screen with grifball….

    • bs angel says:

It did come out four days ago, yes. I still wanted to carry it though because I know a lot of you are big Mass Effect fans. I actually check Machinima every day but usually for Halo-themed content so this one skipped right by me until it landed in my feed today. :)

  7. COL0NEL SANDERS says:

I was a huge fan of the first Mass Effect, so I am really excited about this one.
I can’t wait to see all of the improvements, especially to the combat system. I’m looking forward to a more intense style. I think it will work great.
I already know the story, characters, dialogue system, etc. will be great.
    :D

  8. Crazeye0 says:

I wasn’t too big on Mass Effect and only really played it for half an hour or so because I thaught it failed imo, but if this video holds true then Mass Effect2 looks set to be an amazing game!

I think my heart just exploded… I’m almost more anxious for ME2 to come out than ODST… almost.

  10. Mizzy says:

    More Turian on Sheperd hotness!

  11. FishType1 says:

I absoloutely LOVED the first one, and I hope that the second is over 9000 times better, if thats even possible! :D

  12. SonofMacPhisto says:

All I need now is an annoucement for HL2: Ep 3 and I’ll officially die. :)

  13. Rhamsey says:

oh, this got me so excited, i thought it was a new one… o well, its still great to see it again, and gets me so pumped for this years e3

  14. dickbutt says:

Glad to see the combat is getting fixed up, that was my main gripe with the first one. That and the upgrades which were hard to tell just what they were doing.

    • pittofdoom says:

My biggest gripe was the (virtually non-existant) auto-save. I always hated when I would get halfway through the Virmire base approach, get blown to bits by Rocket Drones or Krogan, and have to go all the way back to the beginning…

  15. setters says:

    yippee! yippee!!

    skips away to cook tea…..

  16. Sten4sw says:

    i need a change of underwear…

  17. pittofdoom says:

Woah, I’m not sure if anyone else noticed this, but starting at 2:12, with the big explosion, all the gameplay footage takes place on the Normandy. I guess that means that Normandy takes a pretty big hit at some point in the game…

    • SonofMacPhisto says:

We’ve been debating that in the forums. It could be ANY Alliance ship, really. I think it would be interesting if your decisions could dictate the state of the Normandy by the end of the game. :P

  18. Sandra says:

I am so looking forward to this game. I loved the first part and what I have seen of the sequel makes me so anxious for it.
