In the Halo world there is a particular term that is almost magical with its effects. It can cause grown men to become green with envy. It has the power to gain instant respect amongst peers. It can even make the opposite sex weak in the knees. That word would be General. While some people may argue it’s nothing more than a virtual rank that has no importance in the real world, true Halo fanatics know differently. The following music video, appropriately named I’m A General, details many of the distinct advantages of holding this prestigious title. Disregard the fact that these benefits are purely fictional in form and exist only in the clouded minds of delusional gamers who never escape the confines of the virtual world. We are not dream shatterers, oh no. We are just the people who laugh at them behind their backs. :giggles maniacally then runs off to buy a 50:

How bloody stereotypical and i know its meant to be but i want to have a rant. First i’m a captain grade 4 i choose not to rank up cos i can’t be bothered and ranked isn’t that fun. Secondly i kill people left right and center a lot. Lastly i have a nice girlfriend who i love so i don’t need skanks. So i’m a general but better as i see it.(Most) Gerenals=fail. i mean they’ve taken over every playlist that is social except socialskirmish. I play 10 games of team Mythic in one day and each game had about 4 generals in it. DONE!!!!!

That is the most pitiful excuse. A Captain Grade 4 that refuses to rank up? Yeah right, if you were that good and could be a general yourself you wouldn’t cry about them being in social playlists. Seriously, if you’re bad at the game, then why say otherwise and make poor excuses? Nobody’s judging you, although lying in an unoriginal way is really fail. Most Generals fail? Yeah, that’s another way to try and forget the fact that you’re just a Captain. If they failed so hard you wouldn’t care about them taking over Social. If you had such a healthy relationship with your girlfriend you wouldn’t get so angry at a freaking video and have rants about your captain grade 4 being better than Generals; you would actually have a life.

You can’t even let me say my opinion and let me get away with it. You want everything your way. What are you a general? I’m good but not General good i’ll admit and i don’t want to be. And i’m not getting mad at the video i’m mad at the stereotype of generals. Most of them are either nice guys who like to have fun but some are pompus asses. I have a life you see i only voice my opinion but to voice your opinion of others opinions is sad. What i am doing now is providing an explanation. I’m quite good i just don’t find playing better players and ranked fun and i think its too serious.

Personally, I applaud Tristan’s spot-on impersonation of the arrogant assholes on Live that get an inflated sense of self-worth from a virtual number and rank that have absolutely no meaning in real life. That is what this video was about and you have to admit, his comment was flawless in that regard. :)
Probably not going to be a General anytime soon; I’m mainly a social man myself.
It’s not like any of the women in my town are worth it anyways.
