Video Game Controller Fossils

controller fossil

As things get older they often times shrink, lose muscle, and acquire a multitude of wrinkles. Other times they become deliciously rock hard, forever preserving the awesomeness of the original item. As I prefer the latter, these cement cast modern fossils are right up my alley. Concocted with a blend of concrete and other materials made to resemble real stone fossils, various old school controllers are available (with prices starting at a more than reasonable $45) as a permanent piece of your video game collection. I wonder if they could cast SNOP DOGG’s accessory for me. I bet I could get a discount since it would probably qualify as a miniature. I’ll look into that while you ogle more “fossils” after the jump.

  1. A 360 controller that still worked, and was painted like that would be sick.
    I want one

I wonder if they sacrificed actual controllers, or they just did a negative plaster mold or something

Seems like a negative plaster mold to me. But without a doubt, really impressive, and awesome!

    Ah yes, the Nintendo 64.
The source of most, if not all, of my childhood memories.

I would be abit more impressed if they used 2 different type of “rock”. Then it would be more fossil like.

OMG N64! Snop dog will never live it down though. -insert small referance here… again-. Also nice analogy of the rock hard thing you sure do know your joysticks well!

$45.00 for a fake fossil? Call me cheap, but I’ll save the moolah.

talk about dinosaurs. Virtual Boy was an ancient failure and eventually died off because its major food source (gamers) didn’t play it.
