Still They Can Hear You Screamin’ More

Halo fanatics are captivated by the fascinating physics behind our sometimes planned, most of the time not ricochets. We love sniper bullets that bounce five times before entering some poor unsuspecting person’s skull. We adore rockets that are knocked off course and go spiraling out of control. We also enjoy watching top ten videos comprised solely of those unlikely occurrences. While this video doesn’t show anything jaw-droppingly astounding, it is quite entertaining. Music is a pleasant addition to the viewing experience, there is no commentary (praise the Halo Gods!), graphics in between the clips are simply stunning, and overall video quality is wonderfully high. That’s right, I don’t tear apart every video I watch. Occasionally I have nice things to say as well. Hope you enjoyed the bitching break because I have a feeling it won’t happen again any time soon. Now push play on this three minute Top 10 Halo 3 Ricochets video already. Oh, and clip #2 should be #1.

I thought that #3 was better than #2. Plus nice rocket richocet to pick the guy out of midair.

    • Qix says:

No way, 3 and 5 were the ONLY ones with any skill. Even if it was blind firing luck, they were still trying for the predicted outcome. Where as the other 8 were all lucky enough to miss horribly and bounce the shot into a someones head.

      • JLay says:

Sorry, I was rating them based on skill and not luck. I see what you were doing there now. I wasn’t judging by the most number of richocets or blindest luck. If that is the case then I agree with BS Angel that #2 was the best, followed by the rocket redirect.

You’d think there would be a richocet betrayal in the montage for Hawty’s sake!

Rate ‘em however you want! I tend to assume they’re all luck as I don’t have the skill to do anything like that on purpose, lol … except the betrayal thing of course. As you mentioned, why the heck isn’t there a betrayal ricochet?! Surely people other than me have that happen on a regular basis. Hello? Anybody? :cough:

  2. tb2571989 says:

I kinda though 5 was awsome :P was it two or three they took out?

  3. Crazy A 64 says:

I liked the way the bullets bounced off stuff then into other stuff… usually heads… yeah that was what I liked.

  4. Rhamsey says:

A nicely made video, but as always with the videos 90% of them were luck. And I hate being killed by some kid who doesnt know how to snipe, and ends up hitting me in the face because he shot the ground.

    • Doc says:

      second

The nice thing about this video though is that it doesn’t try to sell itself as skill. It says straight up that it’s luck, and that counts for something in my book. :)

  5. xX Prime x says:

clip #2 for number 1? Hell no. Clip 1 was fantastic.

  6. Leeumm says:

I think #1 is deserving of it’s spot. Yeah, #2 ricocheted a bunch of times, but #1 took out two-for-one for the Killtac. I thought that was pretty sick.

  7. LordOsiris says:

I Liked number 6. My brother had the same thing done in a similar fashion to him and it reminded me of it.

  8. HellCat says:

They were all good and lucky. I liked the one where he got the kiltacular

    Bouncy Bullets

  9. Ez8Diaz says:

the video was great, the music tho…emoooo

    • i really enjoyed that video, full of luck and skill and win! that band, hollywood undead, is typically a hard-rap genre’d group. i kinda liked that song, but i prefer more emo stuff though… =D

    • TofuDragon7 says:

The music was my biggest gripe too – one day I shall find a Halo montage video which doesn’t make my ears bleed.

  10. LAZR Blade 14 says:

These guys are either robots, or they just take a hell of a lot or potshots.
Oh, and #3 reminds me of why I hate hate hate the sniper rifle.
    You know. The sniper rifle.
The sniper rifle that’s supposed to be a long-range weapon.
And yet, it’s one of the game’s most dangerous close-range weapons.
Welp, back to dual-wielding. Pew pew.
