And When I Get This Feeling

left 4 dead cookies

Unfortunately I only have a single Left 4 Dead playing experience behind me but considering I managed to light my whole team on fire with a poorly thrown Molotov cocktail (and by poorly thrown I mean accidentally dropped at our feet) and was also on the receiving end of more tongue lashings than I’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing in real life, this game remains on my “must play” list. That’s why I’ve already added the just released today Left 4 Dead Survival Pack to my Xbox 360 download queue. Included in this free game add-on is “Survival”, a new multiplayer game mode, along with two complete campaigns for Versus Mode. By the way, if you happen to bear a striking resemblance to the Smoker, I insist that you contact me at needmoretonguelashings at yourearliestconvenience dot com. Boomers need not apply.

IH3SotW: Dangler

IH3SotW (short for Inappropriate Halo 3 Screenshot of the Week) places heavy emphasis on the inappropriate. While each featured screenshot will be delightfully distasteful, some may be more subtle than others. I won’t bother explaining them since figuring it out for yourself will be half the fun. Every one taken from my personal Halo pr0n collection, I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Secret Morse Code Assembly Message

From Chris Carney’s face on the moon to a urinating Brute to a half-naked cardboard cutout of Jason Jones, Bungie has a tradition of including entertaining Easter eggs in their games starting all the way back with Marathon. For those more observant gamers, finding these intentional hidden messages is almost as fun as playing the games themselves. Bungie.net forum user Sundmann thinks he recently stumbled upon a new little Halo 3 gem on the multiplayer map Assembly in the form of a Morse code message, and I would tend to agree. After spotting red and green flashing lights in the distance, he realized there was a pattern and set off to decipher exactly what was being said. The attempted communication, spelled out in a series of short and long elements, reads thanks for playing. I’m assuming, “We’re not fixing the br spread you whiny ass bitches” was too long. Watch the video to see the super secret message, then head off to your favorite Covenant Scarab factory so you can see it for yourself!

*Thank you to the blue shoe, who claims to tap more than just Morse code, for the tip!

Fairfax Sighting!

www.marissasbunny.com

Mags89 SBG still remembers Fairfax, baby Marissa’s adorably plush bunny that valiantly travels the world in an effort to spread awareness of Infantile Spasms (a condition that has plagued sweet Marissa for much of her still young life). Perhaps you do too as Marissa’s tale touched us all. After spending some time at my house (which included a brief visit to the Halo universe), Fairfax then found herself the esteemed guest at Bungie’s headquarters. Her adventure continues as she was recently spotted at Tim Buckley’s under construction abode over at Ctrl+Alt+Del. Go catch up on Fairfax’s most recent adventures, and be sure to check on little Marissa too. Good thoughts and virtual hugs incoming, …
