Autographed Halo/Bungie Prints Giveaway

Seven of Bungie’s amazing artists were present at the Artist Alley portion of Seattle’s Emerald City ComiCon, graciously signing Halo-related artwork and mingling with attendees. After snagging copies of all the prints, I proceeded to make my way down the line of tables to get them signed by their respective artists. While waiting for a particular signature, I attempted to create awkward small talk with one of the Bungie employees by saying, “So, they are moving your desks around this weekend, eh?” to which the response was a surprised look that inadvertently reflected his thoughts that I was clearly a stalker. I quickly mumbled, “It was in the Weekly Update yesterday,” snatched my prints, and ran away as quickly as possible. My bungling interactions can be your gain though as I now find myself in possession of a complete set of autographed Halo ECCC artwork. All of these prints (seven total) are up for grabs to one person and one person only. If you’d like a shot at winning the seven autographed Halo prints from the Emerald City ComiCon, read on for all the giveaway specifics (plus a complete gallery of the entire set).

Contest Specifics
There are eight skulls hidden on this site. Clicking each skull will reveal a letter. The eight letters, when unscrambled, spell a common word related to Halo. To enter this giveaway, find all eight skulls/letters, unscramble them, and send the word to hawtymcbloggy [at] gmail [dot] com (subject: HPG). One winner will be randomly selected from all correct entries. One entry per person please. Anybody who says the word in the comment section will be immediately disqualified. As with the majority of my contests, I will happily ship anywhere so there are no region restrictions. The contest will remain open for seven days with entries being accepted until April 21st at 11:59 pm PST. The winner, who will be notified via email, will have three days to respond to claim their prize. If the winner does not respond in that time frame, another winner will then be selected. Questions may be asked through the contact form.

Finally got it ^_^… awesome contest! And, to be honest, I’ve never been around this site much, and I now have it bookmarked ^_^. Great site, some really interesting and funny articles. The guitar hero-esque game made me laugh for an hour. Your responses were like they were pulled from my mind haha. Simply awesome!
I’d still like to try and get an idea as to where I find these Halo related Articles/Posts. Not exactly seeing much…

Some people just have the urge to give things away. I myself have this urge. I gave away 2 Mythic Map codes on Bungie.net for free. This was back at the time when they were selling for $50 on Ebay.
In other news, I love contests like these because I win a lot :)
I’m a collector when it comes to certain things, but more than that I enjoy giving these things to other people whom I know will appreciate them and treat them well. :)

That was a fantastic way to spend the afternoon, I didn’t realize how many articles I had missed out on. . . oh and I finally found the last letter I was missing, I can’t believe I didn’t look there. But now that I found it, it seems like a really obvious place to hide one.
I put them all on classic Hawty McBloggy-esque articles. I’m sure it made sense once you found it! And glad you enjoyed the process. I tried to make it fun without being painful. :)

There are plenty of site navigation tools to aid you in your searching, should you choose to use them. :)

Make sure you are utilizing the Halo Heaven category available on the sidebar so you aren’t wasting your time searching articles that aren’t relevant. And if you’re a regular reader, I’ll also say all the articles the skulls are hidden on are quite Hawty McBloggy-esque. All very classic articles of mine. :)

Wow 2 hours later lol. that was actually fun because i got to look at all the posts i’ve missed. Question for angel: do the words that come up in the title have any meaning or are they just random?
They are completely random. I actually used a word generator to name all the images to make sure there was no rhyme or reason to them. :)

Ah, now I found it out.
A good way to unscramble (if you don’t notice it at first) is to do it scrabble style.
Put all the letters on small slips of paper and start mixing them around!

Very simple to figure out with five letters, but I went through to find the other letters just to be sure. Only found seven :(
Very sure I have the word though, it’s so common in Halo that it’s impossible to not get.
Just a question, if we win, do we get to pick which piece we want (Like a first come first serve basis, so the winners will get to pick which one they want if they are still available), or will you pick one at random and send it? Because I REALLY want to pick the one I like.

I completely whiffed one skull on my first time through, spent about fifteen minutes going back through to find it again, got a new pair of retinas, and then solved the scramble.

Ive been looking since this morning and i cant find a thing. Will the skull be out in the open in whichever article, or is it truly hidden, like i wont see it unles i scroll slowly down and look at every single centimeter of the page?
They are all hidden within the articles. If the article is longer than a single frame then yes, you may have to scroll. Give that mouse a workout!
I can’t for the life of me find more than six. I’ve been through with a Google “halo” search, I’ve been through in the “Halo Heaven” category, and I’ve even gone through every single 01/01-to-present post, Halo-related or not. I still can’t find the last two.

Great contest, and I must admit that looking back through this year’s articles has been more enjoyable than tedious. While I still haven’t found all the skulls, I think I have correctly guessed the word, which seems fitting.

I went to the “archives” section on the right of this page and checked out everything in the Jan-April 2009 Halo related and can’t find a thing. I even checked most most everone’s comments. Am I looking in the right place? or is there somewhere else I was suppose to look. I would love to enter to win some of those kick ass prints, but I just can’t seem to find a thing =(
I have a handful of categories located on the sidebar. The easiest way to surf the Halo only content would be by utilizing the “Halo Heaven” section. All skulls are located within the articles themselves, none are in the comments so don’t worry about scrolling through those. :)
