No Longer Existing Only in Myth

Just in case the purposely vague postscript in the last Bungie Weekly Update wasn’t confirmation enough for you, it has now been officially confirmed that the Halo 3 Mythic Map Pack will hit the Xbox Live Marketplace on April 9th for 800
. Not wanting to be left in the dust, Gears of War 2 is also getting some new maps (and another title update). The Snowblind Map Pack, which is comprised of four new winter-themed maps, releases on March 31st for the standard 800
. Apparently someone forgot that Spring officially starts on March 20th. Quit staring at your Tubgirl faceplate and learn your seasons Cliffy B!

Urk is working on a B.net front page story right now. I’m sure it will be up shortly.

Correction, it’s up now. Silly me for not checking again.

Thanks the heavens! I can finnaly haz mythic!
I found out about the release date from facebook…
I’m in the Bungie facebook fanclub…yeah…
it’s about freaking time they announced this. i was beginning to wonder if they would ever be released to the general public.
oh, ya. and i saw it on facebook first, too. kinda made me shake my head.
Now ten year olds can quit bitching, so called “fans” can stop flaming and people who buy Halo Wars are buying it for…you know; HALO WARS!
I was mad as hell when I got the legendary edition of that only to find that I actually have to have XBOX live to download the damm maps, I had been hoping for them to be in a seperate disk.
I refuse to join X-Box live for ethical reasons, primarily because of the administrations tendency to punish openly gay live members who complain about harrassment by suspending them for “inappropriate behavior” rather then take action against the homophobic morons that are attacking them.
I think I get what you”re referencing, but it was kinda made clear the maps were coded, and you don’t rally even have to do anything..just make a silver and click Input code or whatever.
Your own opinion though.
It might have also helped if I’d bothered to look at halo.wikia.com or bungie.net, I try to visit this site and halo.bungie.org daily but I haven’t visited the wikia in about 8 months and I can count the number of times I’ve been to bungie.net in the last few years on one hand (minus following links from HBO)
I admire standing up for what you believe in and reflecting that in your purchasing decisions. Personally, I loved the Halo 2 multiplayer maps that were released in disc form because I’m a collector. I love seeing the physical form on my shelf!
From Bungie, with love.
oh man i just bought this on saturday good thing i wanted halo wars
Yaaaaaay.
I’m happy because everybody else can finally have the mythic map pack and I can show them my mystical forge map! ^_^
Also, Mythic game night like the Legendary games night, but mythic?
