Big Ones and Small Ones

While gaming reviews are typically a dime a dozen, this particular write-up covers eight different consoles ranging from the Xbox 360 to the Nintendo GameCube and eloquently lists succinct pros and cons to help you with your video game console purchasing dilemmas. Astute insights such as references to “gutter hero” and “You have to plug it into the TV” as a con make this unique analysis a must read. The quality of the scan is less than optimal so I have converted it into a text chart after the jump. I don’t know if I should apologize or say you’re welcome.

  3. DeepCee says:

    I’m confused!…So many choices!!

  4. setters says:

short and to the point…. not sure quite which point??

  5. Mizzy says:

This person is quite unaware of free wifi, apparently.

  6. DethPwn says:

I followed this reviewer’s good advice and bought… A pistol. And one single bullet.

  7. Tortacular says:

They’re also quite unaware of basic spelling and grammar. I’m guessing 8 years old.

  8. Kato says:

Guess this explains why Ziff Davis dropped EGM. ZING!

Also… can you play the Wii without plugging it into the TV? Does it have some kind of brain-port?

  9. snorkle256 says:

I know that this is just a little kid, but the pros and cons are fairly inaccurate.

  10. Kato says:

@snorkle256 What could be inaccurate about requiring “battery’s” or having to buy the “gutter” to play “gutter hero”?

As a side note, Gutter Hero 3 was my least favorite in the series. Although I like that you could buy custom gutter guards, I didn’t like boss fights you had to do against yellow jackets and wasps. I just want to clean gutters, it didn’t need a battle mode.

  11. davyboy94 says:

    Guitar haro is cool

    • Faren22 says:

      it’s gutter hero. obviously.

  12. Aperture S says:

    Just wow

  13. Das Kalk says:

it seems like having to play the console on a TV is a bad thing? would you rather just hope you’re pressing the right buttons?

  14. Araknoros says:

who gives the gamecube a 6/10?

  15. WolfKing4 says:

    wow just wow O_o

  16. REM says:

    Where is this from??

  17. Trixie says:

My 7 year old knows more about the above systems than this nub does. :P

  18. 2Three says:

    @ Trixie –

I won’t dispute that, but while reading the reviews it crossed my mind that Cameron (the reviewer) might just be a kid as well.

  19. madBOX20 says:

this is funny. i can’t believe this was in any sort of paper at all. and he gave the computer 10/10 and the Wii 9/10 but would suggest the Wii over the computer? does that make since?

  20. nyo says:

    Everybody loves gutter hero :P

  21. MGH1138 says:

Wait, you have to pay to get on the internet?

  22. ZeroGFrame says:

    Kato,
I thought Gutter Hero 3 was OK. At least you didn’t have to buy the gutter to play like you do with Gutter Hero 4. I’ve got enough gutters lying around now to refit my whole house!

  23. SuzumeShoujo says:

If you don’t plug the Wii into a TV, where does it go?

  24. MK28 says:

Congrats Angel; you managed to use the words: eloquent, succinct and astute in your review of something quite clearly the opposite.
Missed erudite and concise though… (c’mon, you DO have to plug some of them into the TV?!) ;)

Cameron is on the technical pulse and obviously a ‘Forerunner’ when it comes to the world of Gaming… (what?! I can’t do one Halo gag?)

Think it’s an Australian backwater rag. Can just make out parts of the review to the left.

  25. seVen says:

I lost my Game Cube because the discs were small.

  26. bs angel says:

Maybe that wouldn’t have happened if you would have kept it plugged into your tv? Just sayin’. ;)

  27. EXZA says:

    The computer will always win!

Now, if you could make your own X360 or PS3, then it would be a different story.

  28. PikminGod says:

    weak sauce!
DS beats PSP any day, fuck this sony fan boy even in jokes our true selves come forth

although i do like the way he dodged the which console is better by rating them the same…

  29. GeneralCupcakes says:

Rofl. “Cameron” needs to lean how to spell!

And like WTF PS2 PS3 X360 Wii and Gcube all plug into the television! It’s no surprise! How will you get visual then?!?

  30. Dusty Boy T says:

    *Facepalm of massive proportions*

Where the hell do you find this stuff?!

  31. English: not their strong point.

  32. DethPwn says:
