Halo Wars, an upcoming Xbox 360 real-time strategy game set in our beloved Halo universe, was set to release in the Americas on March 3rd but will now be hitting shelves on February 28th instead (a mere two days after Japan and the Asia Pacific region get their copies). The much anticipated demo however will be available slightly sooner on the not so distant date of February 5th. If you have already decided you are going to purchase the A-button heavy Halo Wars, it’s probably about time to get yourself intimately acquainted with both the Covenant and UNSC options that will be accessible in-game. The rest of us? Well, we’ll just be crying about not knowing when we’ll be able to get our hands on the Mythic Map Pack. Yes, I could use a tissue. And perhaps the wahmbulance as well.

UPDATE: The release date for Halo Wars was incorrectly stated as February 28th during Robbie Bach’s CES Keynote. The correct date is March 3 for the US, Canada, Mexico and South American region.

I’m leaning towards getting it, but I’ll try the demo first. It’s been a while since I played a RTS, so I kind of look forward to it.
I wonder how Rippy’s music is gonna hold up. There are a couple of tracks on his site, if anyone is interested. They’re just OK.

Crazed, first it was slated with the general date of “February“. Then it was pushed to March 3rd for the American region. Now it’s at February 28th (again for the Americas). Maybe the date will change next week so we can be even more confused!

Maybe they won’t tell us next time they change it and we’ll just have to guess when to start lining up outside stores!

I dig Halo, Halo 2, and Halo 3, but I am just not feeling this game. I’m just FPS fan at heart.
