Some interests go hand in hand. Take, for instance, Halo and Star Wars. You like one, you like the other due to the basic sci-fi similarities. Video games and comic books are the same way, especially when they are comic books revolving around your favorite video game. If you are a fan of Dead Space, or even if you have yet to discover the delightfully frightening game, Newsarama has the entire first issue of the Dead Space comic series available for your viewing pleasure. Written by Antony Johnston with art by Ben Templesmith, the comic spans 23 pages and provides intriguing back story to the bloody saga that is Dead Space. Oddly enough, that game really didnt give me nightmares.It startled me and put me in a state of terror many times, but my sleep wasnt affected. I might play it at 2AM in a dark room on a big TV and see if that does anything.
On a double post, I was disappointed that there were no necromorphs in the issue, and only one person actually died. I want blood.
The game didn’t give me nightmares either Naepa, although it did make me jump in fright several times over. One time I was playing, the zipper from my sweatshirt grazed against my leg, and I swear I jumped a mile high. I about crapped my pants, first from terror and then because I felt so stupid!
Well not to start a war or anything, but star wars pwns star trek. Jedi FTW.
All I can say Mizzy is sad face. Just because you know the truth doesn’t mean you have to share it with everyone. :) Oh and I’m with CrazedOne, both my parents were trekkies (well one a trekkie, one a trekker) I was rebellious and made a point of being a Wars fan.
The ones on xbox live are fucking awesome. The voices are done so well and the still animation jsut adds to the experience.

I don’t like comic books, and I don’t like Dead Space (I’m sure most of you know by now)!
I still wanna try playing it at 2AM to see what that does for the experience. Oh, and my best terror memory from playing would have to be a time when i refused to go through a door. It sounded like there were more necro-things past it, and so I just closed the door and walked away.
Meh, I’m a Trekkie myself…
I’m a trekkie more then a Star Wars fan (though I like both). Although I don’t need that image to give me interesting dreams at the moment, the post-surgery pain killers I’m on are doing the job well enough when I’m asleep or awake.
Nothing like waking up in the hospital at 2:45 AM and seeing the ghostly image of a small tent covered in hot dogs over by the window
