I like the Mongoose Splatter Montage. The goose is such an awesome, and underestimated, weapon.

To me, a montage has great editing, great music, and sick footage. Phurion’s does all of that, but better yet, he combines them all, making it one cohesive piece, My vote goes to Phurion’s dualtage

Phurion and Fluxy’s Dualtage. That has to be probably be the best montage I have ever seen. Even now I still think it’s awesome. I do watch it occasionally here and there when I am bored though. But the editing was outstanding! It went along with the music perfectly I think. All those insane Killionaires with the Sniper and such, just made it an outstanding montage!
I’m so sorry to not pick Goose King, since he did use one of my favorite songs by one of my favorite bands. While the footage itself was entertaining to watch, I can’t pick it as a great montage. I feel the editing and the cinematography was lacking and inconsistent and it truly did not live up to it’s potential as a montage. Goose King needs to go watch ‘Spitfire’ for some inspiration and try again. After that, I’ll anxiously await to see what he comes up with.
On the other end of the spectrum, MGS1 went WAY overboard with the editing and effects, making his video difficult to comprehend and a general threat to epileptics the world over. Rewind2 almost falls into this same trap for the first 2 minutes (with the addition of brain-gratingly annoying music that has the future deceased Simon Cowell reverting to zombie mode to seek bloody revenge) before switching to a relaxing and refreshing zone of realistic Halo 3 antics with some nicely witty commentary.
However, the sad truth of the modern Halo 3 montage is that in order to be a real Halo 3 Montage and not just a fun Halo 3 video for all to enjoy is that you must use pretentiously clever editing, Michael Bay-level visual effects, and tortuously bad screamo music to showcase the kind of gameplay that makes the rest of us go “I swear to all that is holy, unholy and cheeselike that I hate you for being so bloody good at this game.” In order to be a GOOD Halo 3 montage, you need to be able to do all these things, but in slight moderation so that the general populace can watch it without going to the doctor to get a prognosis on why their eyes are bleeding and they can’t stop screaming.
As such, for my pick for the best montage, I’m going to go with ‘Phurion and Fluxy’s Halo 3 Dualtage’ because they did indeed have editing that can beat itself at scrabble, effects with enough teenage testosterone to fuel a junior lacrosse team and a slection of bad, but not awful, screamo music. And yet, unlike Snakems, they did not go horribly overboard with any of it, but instead found that balance where we can understand ‘Oh hey, he shot somebody. Good job, mate’ and still have us realize that the music was timed with the shot and therefore make us take our hand out of our pants long enough to give a brief, envious applause.
Ok, I’ve voted and given my reasons for why that vote stands. Jack-ass mode: [off] on
Elevation gets my vote. The editing is great and so is the music. You can tell they spent a ton of time to get the jumps and the timing down.
Sanctious’ Splaser Tage is incredible. The things he does..
Goosetage for me. Not going to play the critic here, I just love how deadly he makes the Mongoose look.

I really doubted between the goosetage and the splazertage, but i went for the goostage. Elavation, MGS1 and rewind were so friggin overedited i couldnt watch more than 30sec before rushing to click that big X in the corner of my screen. My head felt like it was going to explode…..
Seriously I watch montages to see some good gameplay not to get an epileptic attack. Is it really that hard to just show the damn gameplay without having the screen shake and flash like a hydrogen bomb went of during recording…………………. god
Anyway phurions editing wasnt as bad but I still couldnt stand it for more than a minute.
I’m awful with the Laser so The Sanctious Splasertage VOL 1 has my vote. Very impressive!

I really don’t watch many montage’s because I really don’t play halo competitively. But I had actually watched one on that list and i will give it my vote. “T3H Goose King’s” montage was brilliant. I personally love cruising around on maps with a mongoose and trying out little tricks here and there. But that montage did some things that I was just totally amazed at.
My personal favorite would have to be at 00:58 when they are riding the mongoose with two people on two wheels and shooting down the opposing team. That is some hardcore balance and driving techniques right there.
Montages are hard to judge. Got to respect the SPlaser, though.

T3h Goose King’s Epic Mongoose Splatter Montage. It had debatably my favorite song (Welcome Home – Coheed and Cambria), and was a very new style of montage. The best part about it was that it inspired a bunch of new Halo 3 mongoose montages. In terms of originality, the “Goosetage” was the best.
Goosetage hands down.

I love the music to the Goose Kings montage and besides its side to see a montage based on something which people consider to be a “noob” weapon. I find it funny watching him get multi kills with the goose. Besides who likes to be splattered by a goose :P

I voted for Phurion and Fluxy’s montage. It has some great editing, good music, and more importantly, impressive gameplay. Im a sucker for the skill based montages. The other ones were too focused (lasers, mongooses, sticky grenades), and can get a little boring. How many people can boast a legit killionaire in MM (even if it is social) that isn’t grifball? I sure cant.

A really hard decision…

Well, this was probably the hardest one to pick. Personally, I don’t like watching videos showing off how awesome the maker is; especially when the thing they are showing off is either a) something that requires dumb luck, b) things any person with thumbs could do, just covered from head to toe in flashy effects, or c) DEATH METAL. Since the only one that didn’t have all three was the “Epic Mongoose Splatter Montage,” I voted for that. It has pretty good animating, some nice music that is borderline Death metal, and its owner actually has the title of being the best at their trade of mowing down unsuspecting suckers with his genocidal ATV. All I have left to say is: “Why didn’t those people hit the d*** A-button!?”
It’s a tie between phurion and Fluxy and epic mongoose splatter montage.
This is more of a personal choice of mine. While they’re both great, I loved the music in phurion and Fluxy. [to the above poster, if you're reffering to phurion and fluxy with the death metal, you don't know what death metal is.]

What the hell happened to Lord Mongoose? His montage was much better than Teh Goose king’s.
Easily and by far the best was the goosetage…I don’t no why, none of the other montages i thought were very great..
You know, i thought when i saw this one that it would be a bunch of normal montages where people are just really good and could kill me 3 times in 5 seconds… but you really chose the out there ones.
My vote went to the mongoose splattertage. From the second i saw that video i was hooked. I now go for mongoose splatters whenever i get bored, and also, i liked that song “Fire” they used alot in it. these were some of the epicest kills and such i have seen in any montage

Mongoose Splatter For The Win!
The one with the simple name
Phurion and Fluxy’s Halo 3 Dualtage. This was the most epic montage I have ever seen for any game. It had perfected the neccessities for an amazing and superb montage. Great quality, music that is badass, its editing is sick I mean my mouth just dropped when I watched this, it had intense and crazy footage that would send anyone into awe. Not one moment did I think “This is getting a little boring, I should stop watching” this montage had me at the end of my seat the whole time. The other nominees were well done, but this montage, this Phurion and Fluxy Dualtage, is the most insane, inquisitive video I have ever witnessed and am happy that I have. This is a masterpiece. It is an inferno of insane.

The syncing in MGS1Snake’s video really impressed me. It was a very nice watch overall and I didn’t find myself getting bored like with the other videos. The editing and visual effects kept it fresh and interesting.

Went with the Goose because you can’t just drive around on one and think your going 2 get an unbelievable splatter. This montage is amazing because they don’t fire 1 shot at there enemy. Now I see where the motto- “Eat My Dirt” comes from. That takes luck and talent so big ups 2 Goose Kings.
