There is one particularly dedicated little elf still hard at work at the mythical land of Bungie, and today he dropped a few small stocking stuffers down your chimney and straight into your eagerly awaiting hands. The gifts come in the form of images of two of the three Halo 3 multiplayer maps collectively known as the Mythic Map Pack (which is slated to be released somewhere around March of 2009). While some of these pictures of Orbital and Assembly have already been published in various publications, there are a few never before seen screenshots included for your viewing pleasure. I’ve pulled the Spartan-free images for you but there are more in Bungie.net’s gallery that include some multiplayer shenanigans. Look at ‘em, love ‘em, and live ‘em in just a few short months.

They both look like they’ll be fun to play. It’s really too bad that they’re being tied with Halo Wars, at least initially. It makes me wish I was more interested in that game.

Yay, I’m not the only one who thinks Orbital would be good for Machinima! =D
But it looks like my dreams of some Hogs for Orbital wont be coming true, unless Forge decides to be super nice…
And why am I the only one who seems to think that Assembly dosn’t look like it would be too fun to play?

Orbital looks beautiful! So does assembly but orbital is going to give that gameplay that we’ve been looking for for a while now i think.

I agree with the Machinima aspect of Orbital. I really wanna see what shows like Spriggs, RedvsBlue, and Forecast will do with it. Not to mention my own ideas for it…
