Grifball fanatics should cancel their plans for the next few days because their favorite virtual sport is making a triumphant return as this weekend’s Halo 3 Double EXP playlist of choice. Those of you who grow irritated every time matchmaking splits your party should also clear your schedules as Bungie is pulling double time with the hammer-friendly gametype by using it to test measures aimed at reducing team splitting. They’ll be looking for your hopefully productive feedback at how successful or not successful it was later in the Optimatch forum. My opinion of Grifball has changed slightly since the first time I ranted about it so I’ll definitely be hopping in there and enjoying the customary betrayalfest. And give Grif a break already. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to kiss all the boys.

It’s not my favorite playlist, but it’s also not my least favorite. If you get in with the right group of folks that are experienced and willing to show you the ropes, a good time can be had by all.

Meh, I’m not much for it. It’s ok, it just gets old very quickly, I normally only play 1 or 2 games, then I head back to DLC big team.

I love me some Grifball. It’s probably the one gametype in Halo that brings me back to play. It probably has to do with the fact that running away from guys with hammers and swords is important.

Actually, the more I play Grifball these days, the less I like it… at least in the online arena.
Because it’s a more simple one-hit-usually-kills game type, host advantage makes a much bigger difference. It is incredibly frustrating for those of us who are almost perpetually on the losing end of host advantage.

I enjoy Griffball as a great “quick” match and play — must less wait next to other game types and no veto or waiting for maps to load. Although I preferred last weeks 7 on 7 playlist — Avalanche all the time!
