Discounted Legendary Map Pack With a Side of Recon Starting Tomorrow

If you haven’t yet purchased the Halo 3 Legendary Map Pack, when you’re done explaining to me why you’re such a n00b, you can then hop on over to the Xbox Live Marketplace (starting tomorrow) and pick it up for a paltry 400
($5 USD). If you are kinda sorta lazy like I am, you can also click this tasty little link to download it directly to your Xbox 360. This special ‘Holiday Deal Of The Week’ goes live tomorrow morning at 9 am PST and will be available for one week only. As always with Microsoft promotions, there is bad news, there is good news, and there is even gooder news (it’s a word because I said so). The bad news is that the special deal pricing is available for Gold Members only. The good news is that the same discounted price is accessible in all Xbox Live regions. The even gooder news is that Bungie added their own little perk to this deal where if you play in any DLC required hopper during the same time the discount is valid, you will earn yourself a chance at Recon armor. Sure, everybody has a shot at it later next year but that is several glorious months you may possibly have the opportunity to rub it in your friends’ faces. Literally. I’m talking about teabagging people! Speaking of which, where is my Recon codpiece anyways?

That you can finally play on the DLC maps? It’s about time, goodness gracious! ;)
Out of curiosity, the more you play does it increase your chances? Cus I’ve done too much stuff for lame recon armor and I don’t feel like playing with a bunch of 9 year old kids for a week.
I know you just have to play on one of the playlist to get entered, but do you get entered more if you play more?
I hope not. There would no doubt be some people playing 24 hrs 7 days straight.
I bought mine when it was first made cheaper for 600… I never buy anything unless it’s cheaper than it was…if that makes any sense…
