The Future’s in Their Handbasket

Normally I don’t post two video articles back to back but today you have my formal apologies because it simply couldn’t be avoided. While I thought my recent achievement of finally passing Raining Blood on Hard was a big deal (which may or may not have involved bribing the neighborhood nine year old music game prodigy to do it for me), this collaborative effort shows what true Guitar Hero fans will do out of love for their favorite plastic guitar-shaped peripheral-wielding game. To be honest, I really have no idea what I’m watching besides a bike that has flashing lights and notes running along roads, sidewalks, sports courts, parking lots, grass, and pretty much every surface imaginable but I will say this. You did this bike thing on Hard? Really? If you’re gonna do something, go balls to the wall already. Next time I’m expecting Expert. You hear me?! Fucking Expert!

*A special thank you to John (who can throw rolls of toilet paper at me any day of the week) for the tip.

  3. HOLY MOLY! that was an epic win. I just wish there was more light, then again, the fire may not have worked so well. And also off topic, Angel your avatar is pimping. Though i think it needs a monacle and/or top hat…

Very nice, but I’m pretty sure the notes were edited in. Then again, I’d love for this to be real.

I don’t think they’re interacting with the bike. I think that it was pre-programed to display the notes on the device so that when they went back to edit in the notes, they’d know when and where to place them. The notes look kinda fake at around 1:50 when the notes are on the dirt, and the sidewalk after that. Another thing, the camera seems way too smooth, and why did he keep looking at random things like shop windows and flower bushes. Having said all of that, I still think the video is neat, but I think it’s just a viral marketing video made by someone hired by Red Octane.

If you focus on some parts of the video, the hands look like they were made on a 3D modeling program.

    It still looked cool, though.
