Anybody else starting to get worried about how smoothly or not smoothly the New Xbox Experience rollout (slated for November 19th, a mere four days away) is going to go? I’m beginning to get flashbacks from the last holiday outage. ‘Tis the season I suppose.

i got booted from 2 games last night, the whole game did, and it took 5 minutes before i could sign back on, after a third time i couldn’t sign back on at all, even after 2 hours, it wasn’t my net either…i’ve already had lag and freezing issues since June(the update that fucked up Xbox Elite HDD) and now this…UNSAT MICROSOFT UNSAT!

  2. I is concerned. I got kicked out of 2 games last night, but was able to sign right back in. So IDK.

  3. I got disconnected a few times last night, finally gave up and went to bed. I tried to look for that little XBL Status box, but the new site confuses me. I was afraid the plague was starting all over again. But thankfully that isn’t the case. Yet.

I’m hoping that all these issues we seem to be having are just them working on getting ready for the new experience. I’m sure there’s gonna be a rough patch as soon as it comes out, and everybody is going to go cry and bitch and moan about it, but, that’s because everyone else sucks my non-existent balls, and they don’t realize that even if they have been testing it and ironing it out for us, there are gonna be a few wrinkles.

    I’m sorry, was I ranting?

    (Maybe she isn’t done CrazedOne!)

I agree it would be silly to assume it will go off without any wrinkles. Something this large is sure to encounter at least a few bumps. Hopefully they will be resolved quickly though. I guess we’ll all see soon enough!

I had trouble staying logged on for about 10 minutes last night, but after that, I was able to play all night without getting booted. There was some unusual lag though, but hopefully that was just a freak occurrence. I’m actually looking FORWARD to the update, it will be nice to get something new.

I made the third round of NXE preview testers yesterday. It’s pretty cool, but when XBL started having problems, the NXE looks like it freezes up. In reality, it’s just taking forever (like 10-15 minutes) to timeout, but it just sits at a blank loading screen with no messages telling you what it’s doing.

I got really screwed last night. I was playing Mass Effect and got the “disconnected” popup. I tried 2 times, but canceled on the second. What I didn’t realize was that canceling signed me out totally. So 2 or 3 hours later when I went to save, it said “you must be signed in to save”. I was like, okay, that’s weird. I Signed in, and Mass Effect said “Whoa, somebody signed in. Restarting Mass Effect”.

    I was mad.

i was at work, so i didnt notice, but i was wondering why i couldnt check my email, or see what friends were online from the bungie page

Live has been down for me for 29 hours now. =[

I can’t get on at all for some reason.

This update is going to be bad.

XBL has been fine for me. The only “issue” I’ve had is after a match when you go back to the lobby it wouldn’t go back. It said “connecting”, had a black screen and the scores were at the top Waited about 5 minutes then it finally got back to the lobby. I wasn’t the only one experiencing it as a few peopel commented on it.

Though that could have been someones connection mucked it up because there was a few red connections in the game. Other than that I’ve had no issues.

Seeing as I don’t have Live (damm dialup…) I didn’t realize there was a problem

I have the sneaking suspicion that the NXE is exactly what’s causing this. This started right after one of the waves of people getting to try it early started. I also think that the whole “sign up and get to try it early!” thing is BS anyway; the REAL reason I think they let some people do it early is so that they could force Xbox owners to upgrade in stages so they didn’t have the entire population all trying to download and update at once, thereby saving themselves from crashing Xbox live…well for everyone at once anyway.

Oddly, I haven’t had any problems except for two disconnects a few days ago that I was immediately able to reconnect after.

@AOClause: I totally agree. One massive switchover has a much higher potential for FAIL. I’ve also just had a few bump offs over the weekend. Nothing major, able to sign right back on. I’m REALLY stoked for the NXE . . . i just fired up my old Netflix account in preparation.
