Spore, a massive single-player online metaverse video game, allows players to create a unique creature and then control the evolution of its species. Halo fanatics will always find a way to work their favorite character into other customizable video games and Spore is no exception to that. Creation isn’t limited to just characters though as gamers also enjoy remaking various weapons and vehicles using the fairly extensive Spore editors. Prepare to be impressed by what Halo enthusiasts have managed to recreate within the fascinating Spore universe.

Incredible attention to detail in all of these recreations.
Though I must say, the Energy Sword looks like it could serve…alternate purposes. ;) ;)

Wow. Those, are great. But… is Master Chief dual-wielding Assault Rifles? O.o Still awesome, though.

Posted by AusQB on November 6, 2008 at 5:06 am
Amazing. Now you can play Halo Wars in Spore.
Posted by Xor1an on November 6, 2008 at 6:08 am
Wait… we spent 3 games trying to eliminate those [flood] spores, and now they’re sending the chief and the arbiter to a universe made entirely out of spores? That’s just cruel.

Damn, the stuff I make NEVER looks that good.

People – Life = TooMuchTimeOnHands
TooMuchTimeOnHands + SickObsession = Creativity
Creativity + Anything = AmazingToBehold
Its the same equation for anyone who is on the 405th making models out of paper… myself included in that

The vehicles are the best.
I’m sad now…My little trial edition grunt is nothing compared to that one. :(

While some of those recreations are decent, I have created several varients that are far more accurate. Check out my sporecast which contains most of the ground vehicles, aircraft, space ships, and even my own watercraft and buildings. http://www.spore.com/sporepedia#qry=st-sc%3Asrch-abryan%3Assc-500155343268 My phantom, pelican, and pillar of autumn are strikingly similar to halo’s.

The creative flexability of Spore is mind boggling! This has inspired me to make more. I just wish they had a Figure Prints deal so I could get models of my stuff.

My feelings are kinda mixed. On one hand, that Pillar of Autumn (and all of Abryan’s Halo Ships for that matter) is obviously a copy of mine, but at least he had the decency to add and improve it.

I think Spore’s capability to support such creative work is a true credit to its developers. We now have a platform that could possibly integrate all the game worlds of the past.
