I’m sorry but Ensemble looks like they are just doing their best to kill the series.

  4. i think it will be a little different no doubt, but it does look promising i think. but the fact that you don’t see any scarabs or hornets in halo:ce but they’re in halo wars which takes place before halo:ce is kinda out sync with the story…

@The Light Show. Not necessarily, you have to remember that in Halo CE the only human vessel was the Pillar of Autumn. A ship that was currently outfitted for the Spartans mission to capture a Prophets flagship. As the Hornet is an atmospheric weapons platform, there would be little need for it in space. And the only Covenant was the Fleet of Particular Justice, which was sent to glass the planet Reach. With such a space-based objective they again would have little need of such heavy troop-smashing ground weapons. Hence it’s compleatly plausible that the Hornet as well as the Scarab were already parts of the Human and Covenant arsenals. We didn’t see them in CE because of the relatively small amount of coverage of the Halo Universe that took place at the time. I think.

  7. This definitely does look like a solid game worth playing, but will it remain that way when you look a year down the road? (not trying to bash it, i’m just contemplating)

I have high hopes. It won’t be Halo : CE exactly, but I never pass up a chance for another trek into the Halo universe.

I’m eagerly looking forward to this. The smallish, squad battles that take place (yes, they’re squad battles; small groups of enemies fighting each other) in the current Halo games is cool, but I’ve always wanted to see the large scale war that takes place in the Halo universe.

As to the whole mouse/controller thing. They’ve constantly been saying they’ve hit the nail on the head for game con control, so I’m going to give them a chance (hopefully they’ll put a demo on the marketplace).

In the very begining what is the Arbiter saying right before he says “Open the relic.” It runs together and I can’t tell what it is.

I’m assuming everyone dies at the end. If they don’t, then humanity would have known about the flood in Halo: CE. The dialogue in the cutscene seems a little cheesy. I’m still going to get this game though.

The flood looks great, though as previously state I hope that they come up with a believable reason for humanity not knowing of them at the time of Halo: Combat Evolved.

I’m sorry, but that dialogue exchange at the beginning was atrocious! It seemed very uninspired and, though this may just be me, I hate the way the elites have sounded so far in Halo Wars (save the animalistic growling in the announcement trailer). It’s not necessarily the script itself, but the way the lines were read. That being said, I think the human half of the cutscene and gameplay dialogue I’ve heard so far is far stronger and impressed me greatly.
