I’m spending my day reffing the 4 v. 4 matches in the 3rd Annual Fight Like a Girl Charity Tournament today. I reffed the FFA portion yesterday, which was an absolute blast, and will be participating in the 2 v. 2 against Bungie later this evening. If you are participating as well, leave me a comment telling me how your experience was!

Thanks for helping out! I had a blast playing in the ffa. Unfortunately I lost in the game that you reffed. Oh well I’m looking forward to the next one!

That was a lot of fun. I only played 3 games in the FFA and 2 games in the 4v4 but it was cool to play for something. Nothing huge, but still better than just for a skill level. I just need to get 12 groups to host one per month and I’d be set! For now though, I just need to find a solid team for next year’s 4v4…
The refs were cool too, everyone was very nice and the system worked surprisingly well. Angel reffed one of my games too, Loser’s Bracket Round 2 (I was one of the moths to the flame…)

Nice to see some of you whose games I reffed over the weekend!
That game was hilarious sprqman, I was cracking up during that one. From my vantage point I couldn’t actually see all the action going down but it was quite entertaining to watch everybody spawn (regardless of if it was in lift room, snipe tower, under glass, wherever!) and immediately rush to BR1. Good times. :)

My buddy and I played a 23 minute Nades and Spades match on Guardian against 2 Bungie employees. They were quite awesome and chatted a bit before and after the game. Flaming Recon heads are quite the trip.

It was a lot of fun playing with folks I hope I wasn’t too taciturn. The Bungie guys all had a lot of fun playing with the community. Reminds me that I need to play more often.

This was fun to sit back and ref this year and not play. I didn’t think it would be much fun that way, but it was a little bit more relaxing-except when I would fall out of a tree or something like that. ; ) It was nice to chat with everyone today. There were some really awesome teams out there! I liked being able to watch them play and see thier teamwork. So much more to say. Good to see you bs!

I agree Cayote, reffing was nice and less pressure than participating. I actually got out of reffing on Isolation (thank goodness because I couldn’t hit that jump if my life depended on it) and only fell off of Guardian a few times. LOL … if Zoomy decides to make a ref’s bloopers video, she could make it two hours long just from me!

I did terrible this weekend, but it was for a good cause so I didn’t mind. In the match that bs angel reffed, I was afraid that she would actually beat my score.
The 2v2 versus Bungie guys was a blast–my teammate and I got owned but it was the most fun I’ve had in a Halo match in a long time. Post-game I suggested that they really should nerf the Mongoose because it’s too powerful. I think they’re going to do it! ;)
Also, Shiska doesn’t mess around with the Sniper Rifle.

Hmmm…how was my experience? Hmmm…that’s depends on whether we’re talking about before or after the team-stacking experience. ;-)

I blame the fact that I only had about 30 people on my friends list at the time (from clearing it out to make room for tournament participants) so pickings were slim. ;)

Thanks to all of you who participated and donated this year! This was my favorite tournament by far. I was running the whole thing from 11am-midnight on both days and my eyes are still bleeding. It was all worth it. You guys all kicked ass, I’m proud of you. :)
