When I first spotted this profanity-themed graph over at GraphJam.com, I remember thinking that auto repair must be a pretty frustrating experience if people said expletives more often when fixing their car than they do when playing video games. As I prefer to not do activities that end up with me being covered in grease (well, not when it comes to repairing automobiles anyways), I had a hard time relating to the comparison so I decided to redo it in the only way I know how. (Yes, I know I have been rather obsessed with modifying graphs lately. No, that won’t be changing anytime soon.) Hit the jump to see the profanity graph, this time done Halo style.
A = Finding out bs angel is on your team. Again.
B = Having your teammates veto Slayer on Standoff and being forced to play VIP (aka hide under the base for 20 minutes) on Valhalla for the fourth time in a row.
C = Winning ten consecutive games without ranking up then losing one game and going down two levels.
D = Playing matchmaking after a major title update.

Nice graphs. But if you actually went to highschools and primary schools nowadays, you would find alot more kids swear. For example, everybody that I know at my highschool swears.
And I hate anything on Standoff.

Cussing in video games is tame compared to watching a friend start up his brand new (hand built) engine equipped with a GM 6-71 supercharger, and after engaging the supercharger, watch most of the contents of the engine get blown through the oil pan.
Now that was some cussing :)

D and A aren’t that bad, but the others, god i hate those.
about C though, i was playing team slayer with some friends, and after winning a match, we all went up, except for XeroTaki, who went down a level, despite him having the second highest kills and best k/d ratio. the words coming out of him were hilarious and would have broken the graph, and to be honest, i wish it happened every time.

so this guy i work with was working on my car, and he wasn’t using jack-stands…the jack was too small for the vehicle he was working on, and it slipped and cruched his neck at c-4…he was paralyzed from the neck down for two weeks and but this week can move his fingers and wrists!! very sad, indeed. but he hasn’t stopped cussing since and he is in good spirits about the ordeal my favorite quote “its a good thing i can’t move or i would have already slit my own damn throat for being a fucking retard”
o and and people taht veto flag games to end up playing Territories…i hate those motherfuckers…all of them

Oh i know how bad C is, i’ve been stuck at my 44 for about half a year now, any time i do TS to try and get it higher it never goes up, even if my team wins every game, but then the second we lose one i go flying back to 43-42.
You do not want to hear the words that come out of my mouth during those times.
As for A, B and D, A wouldnt be too bad, i’m sure. B… i kinda hate any gametype other than infection so theres at least one swear word coming out of my mouth every game, even if its just “Fucking veto this trash”. And for D… I have no need to worry about that, for i have stopped doing matchmaking entirely, due to the fact that i don’t like any gametype thats not infection, yay me. =D
