Gaming is Thy Holy Pastime

Back in late July Ctrl+Alt+Del had a rather nostalgic comic in the form of a pinup titled “The Commandments of Gaming“. While it was initially sans text, Split Reason now has a poster available of that hallowed image with detailed commandments written out. Ranging from humorous (Thou shalt teabag only in the wake of unquestionable ownage) to wishful (Thou shalt not kill steal) to never gonna happen (Thou shalt not be fanboyish in the name of gaming), there are twelve commandments that every hardcore gamer should at least attempt to follow. Costing $9.95 for an 18 inch x 24 inch poster printed on 24 lbs glossy paper, it may not be worth a purchase but it’s at least worth a gander. Now go forth and learn, my young Padawans. The gaming world anxiously awaits your enlightenment.

Reminds me of Spirits of Fire guidelines… (edited and expanded for your pleasure)
1) You are not your rank in Halo.
2) You are NOT your rank in Halo.
3) When someone lags out, quits, or goes AFK, the match is over.
4) Only two teams to a match – one red, one blue.
5) One match at a time.
6) Match without modding or hacking.
7) Match goes on as long as it has to.
8) If it’s your first night at Spirits of Fire, you have to fight.
