The simplicity of video game cover art back in the days of Atari was captivating in a way only rudimentary pixelated drawings can be. In a throwback to an earlier time of gaming, The -Minus World recently took some of our favorite current generation games and transformed them into something reminiscent of the 2600-era. Whether you were a fanatic back in the days of Pong or you are just now entering the wonderful world of gaming, you will appreciate the unostentatiousness of their Atari Modern Classics. Included in their gallery are remakes of Halo 3, Portal, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Call of Duty 4, Grand Theft Auto 4, No More Heroes, God of War 3, Resident Evil 5, and my personal favorite, Bioshock. While I’ve seen a lot of Big Daddies, I don’t think I’ve ever laid eyes upon one more adorable than that.

And then I look at my Asteroids cartridge loaded into my Atari and think…. that’s not pixelated at all, that’s hardcore imagination!

Those are all amazingly well done. Bioshock, Brawl, and God of War were awesome. Though it sucks that Halo is so intertwined with teabagging.

What is up with teabagging? Didn’t it used to be humping (or halo humping)? I do the hump every once in a while (not because I’m showing off, just because I think its funny), but everybody says “you’re doing it wrong”… No I’m not: Have you ever played Halo: CE?

Those are great. They remind me of my dad surprising us with an Atari.
