  1. Hmm, Saints, Fallout and Dead Space are all that look worth my cash, either as a rental or purchase.

  2. The two that stand out for me are Fable 2 and Far Cry 2.

    Fable has been on my mind a lot and I haven’t been able to decide whether or not to get it. I figured that with GTA4 I wouldn’t need another open world sandbox game, but it seems I was wrong. I don’t think I’m completely sold though.

    Far Cry 2 is a different story. The first game was pretty cool, but I only played the demo. I thought that Crysis was the unofficial sequel to it, but whatever. I hadn’t heard anything about the game until about a week ago. I started watching videos of it, and as soon as I saw the map editor in action I was gobsmacked. Not only is this game a lock, but give me the ability to fly a Cessna around the map and I might just buy two copies (just kidding…but seriously).

    I also always like to download the demo of FIFA. It’s kinda tradition.

    Fable 2 FTW. I can’t wait.
    I’ll most likely rent Far Cry 2, as I tend to not buy games that I have games in the same genre. Unless the gameplay is very different. But who knows, I still have to buy GoW2, so If I have money left over I might get Far Cry 2.

  6. I saw a live demo of Far Cry 2 at PAX, showcasing the nearly complete campaign mode and the level editor.

    AMAZING.

    The fire effects were excellent, gameplay appeared smooth, and the level-editor design is takes things to an entirely different level.

  8. My buying plan for this fall:

    Fable 2 collector (Xbox 360) -> 24/10
    Fallout 3 collector (PC) -> 31/10
    Gears of War 2 collector (Xbox 360) -> 7/11
    Mirror’s Edge (PC) -> 14/11

    I week interval between each game and PC/Xbox alternance (I’m buying some on PC for better graphics), looks like a conspiration! :P

    Where did you get a release date for “Scene It?” Does that mean that the NXE will be out before there since I am pretty sure that avatars are a big part of that game. It wouldn’t make much sense to build the game to handle with and without avatars if it didn’t need to.

  16. Fallout 3, Fable 2, FarCry 2 (PC for the insanely awesome editor). I wanted these to begin with, then I saw them at PAX. Now I’m frothing at the mouth for them. And I rarely get that excided about any game more than a week before its out.

    Dead Space and Saints Row 2 look good as well, but those 3 will take a while, i’ll get them later and cheaper hopefully.

    Im still waiting for an Xbox arcade version of UFO X-Com. That with multiplayer might be a bad thing though, cause I’d never need to buy another game.
