His Crotch, My Face

When I recently discovered a strikingly simplistic yet beautiful video game-themed piece of cross-stitch, I jokingly made the comment that if someone designed a pattern that said, “My face is where Master Chief’s codpiece belongs”, I would learn how to do the whole X-shaped stitches to form a picture thing. Well guess what? A fellow crotch-obsessed Halo fan by the name of Lauren called my bluff and came up with a design that even includes a teeny tiny pixelated Master Chief. I am a woman of my word so soon I will be heading to my local craft store to pick up a needle, several colors of thread, and whatever that white thing is that you sew on. Those better come already numbered because I’ll be damned if I am going to count every single fucking square. I have little to no patience so this should be almost as much fun as repeatedly poking my eye out, which hopefully won’t happen over the course of the project. More it happens.
