Yesterday was the seventh day of my Ultimate Swag Bag giveaway meaning the contest was closed, my dusty random integer generator was rolled out of the closet, and a winner was selected. After doing an IP check on the winning entry (to make sure it was their first entry in the case of multiple comments), I began to attempt correspondence with the person lucky enough to win my shit. The communications went a little something like this:
Me: The random integer generator loves you. It also wants to have your babies but I said that was going too far. So I’m excited to tell you that you are the winner of my Ultimate Swag Bag! All you have to do is respond to this email within three days. The timer starts … NOW.
(three minutes later) Handmade Hero: OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!
Me: I regret to inform you that your random string of letters does not count as a response. You are disqualified.
Handmade Hero: Fuck you, send me my shit.
Ok, I completely made that last line up but the other three are 100% legit. Handmade Hero not only wins my Ultimate Swag Bag giveaway but he also wins the quickest response time for claiming a prize. w00t! But that’s ok.. all tears aside, that’s a really cool bunch of prizes you got there. I can’t even imagine the situation where the bag arrives.. it’s in your hand.. It’s not like you can even just go.. “ok, I won’t look at the shirt yet, or the masterchief pic with the guns all laid out, or look through and see how many signatures I recognize… I’ll just check out the Fronks pic first”.
For me, I’d hand off the bag to my gf’s daughter and be like.. “Ok.. quickly, BUT CAREFULLY!..find the soundrack in there and get the mood music going… then hand me another item from the bag. Watch the clock.. I can take no longer than 1 hour to appreciate any single item, and must determine a final display place for the item before moving on to the next one. Ready? let’s begin!”
It’s probably a good thing I didn’t win it.. lol What else IS there in life.. How does one progress when the pinnacle of experience has been acheived and is now behind you? Hmm.. perhaps you could remember me in your will regarding your halo stuff?
I’m still tempted to print out all the artwork and get it all remade to poster size and layer my walls with it. Of course, if I could afford that, I’d have made my OWN PAX grab bag lol.
Oh well.. gotta’ keep reminding myself that just because I was here studying the stuff, and imagining it all framed on my walls.. it was never actually mine to begin with.

Hello Kitty armor > Recon, and I’ll tell you why:
1. These days, *everybody* has Recon armor. I’m pretty sure I saw Sarah Palin wearing it on MySpace months ago, which means it’s no longer in style, what with her being a fashion maven and all. I think she said she’s saving her Hello Kitty outfit for her acceptance speech, which means McCain has my vote ‘cuz Sarah Palin == The New Hotness. Or the New Black(ness?), but that has far reaching implications, what with Obama supposedly being black (I don’t buy it!).***
2. Personally, I find that kind of stuff (Hello Kitty, Power Puff girls, anime, etc.) ridiculous and my feelings border on hate; however, I don’t think I could actually *SHOOT* a Hello Kitty. They’re just so damn cute! (AAARRRGGGHHHH!!! I HATE myself!) Could you? Thus, it makes its wearer pretty much invincible on the field of combat.
While these are only two reasons, I think they are rather powerful arguments in favor of Hello Kitty becoming the new badass H3 armor perm, and also, quite incidently, a rather intelligent exposition of Barack (Barrack? Baraka?) Hussein Obama’s irrelavancy.
*** Lemme spell this out for those of you who don’t have as firm a grasp of political science (not to mention one’s sanity!) as I do: Sarah Palin == The New Black(ness), which would infer that Barack Obama, having been black most of his adult life == The Old Blackness. It’s pretty common knowledge (at least among scholars) that in the field of politics, especially as viewed by John & Jane Q. Public, NEW > OLD. Ergo, Sarah Palin is the smart choice as our next President since she has rendered Obama obsolete, and McCain is, well, let’s be honest: OLD. What? “But NINJA, she’s running for *VICE* President!” Pssshhh, semantics. Ever heard of a WRITE-IN vote? Exercise your rights, people! Thus endeth the sermon.

Next, I shall search earth and the Heavens for the ever-elusive solution to world peace. It’s gotta be around here somewhere, ‘cuz all those beauty queens keep talking about it, and they’re quite possibly the Grand Masters of foreign policy. I mean, look at the qualifications: Look great in a swimsuit; Have a talent; Ummm; Uhhh; Look great in a swimsuit…
Actually, I’m pretty sure that after we elect Sarah Palin as POTUS, things will more or less just click into place. Wars will become a thing of the past; Al-Qaida/Taliban will have a spiritual awakening and begin showering our Soldiers (and their own people, too) with confetti, rather than hot lead and brass; The polutants in the air will magically go out the hole in the ozone layer; speaking of magic, unicorns will once more roam the plains; people will no longer get “skid marks” in their underwear; I’ll finally get a girlfriend, perhaps marry (Ok, let’s not get carried away!); we’ll finally tame the packs of wild dogs that are taking over our cities; and a cure will be found for snow-blindness in cats.
Basically, Sarah Palin will bring Hello Kitty to the world, and one day, the universe!
