Fan Art: Cortana 2

If there’s one thing I’ve learned from our ongoing series of Cortana-themed fan art spotlights, it’s that we all have very different preferences of how we like to have our favorite artificially intelligent character depicted. I find myself preferring the more human versions of her as I enjoy the stark contrast to her appearance in the game. Others like it when she is shown closer to her in-game holographic state as it stays truer to the original character.
The last piece of fan art we looked at was quite realistic as it was actually a digitally manipulated stock image so this time around we are traveling to the complete opposite end of the spectrum. Created by deviantART member ~PaintedSamurai, my attraction to this toon-style piece revolves solely around her expression. She has a certain almost annoyed smirk that just seems appropriate for her quirky personality. Be sure to check it out, assuming you can pry your eyes away from her bountiful bosom. Hmm… She has a sort of Lara Croft thing going one here. I agree with the look though, it is almost as if she is thinking “If you have to ask, you’ll never know.”

i do agree with you angel about her little smirk she has. it seems to fit her personality.
talk about an hourglass though, geez! and the bewbies could be bigger ;-)

interesting…she’s inviting all sorts of questions with that smirk, like you wonder what she did..
and as much as i am a fan of bigger chests, once in a while you have to have some variety ;)

Look At This Cortana
It’s the unnatural relationship between the narrowed eyes and the vexed expression in the eyebrows that puts me off this picture.
On the other hand, the lashes that spike into her bobcut do wonders for Cortana’s vivacious ‘Chick-in-yer-face’ persona as a whole; as does the cheeky dimple to the right of her lips.
The nose is minimal: perfect for a webcomic, but nothing more. Bulbous pouting lips that could suck you in…
They offer a knowing smirk, not a smile as such. You could be friend or foe but either way, be wary of her intentions for you. Waspish almost.
From the observer’s viewpoint, the contrast in colours from head to body is immediate and striking to the point of distraction; negative OR otherwise intended (given the mammary fascination blessed in the male of our species ;) ). The shape of the face evokes images of ripe summer fruit like Strawberries or Blackberries, high cheek bones near the stem, soft curve into the tiny point of a chin near the flower.
The breasts are fairly symmetrically shaded with a slight accent towards the ‘dominant’ left bewb. Notice the shade above the solar plexus, the midpoint of the cleavage… awesome bounty.
Explore this hidden treasure; you must… as must you explore ALL cleavages for hidden bounty!
The waif-like, corsetted appearance of her waistline is a little disturbing (made less so by her clothing and lowlight), this kind of figure is hard to achieve without surgery or physical aides. An almost perfect animation form of the post modern stereotype that most women would love to have: small shoulders, conditioned arms, large bosom, astutely lean abs leading into childbearing hips that flourish into a voluptuous peach of an ass. Only her thighs are present in the HMB picture, but already they have a fullness and solid Vixen look to them.
The arm definition may come as no surprise, but is a welcome addition to a character reknowned for her strong sense of virtue, moral conviction and disciplined ‘training’.
With a naturally strong (70% of the human populous being righthanded) hand restrained behind a (right) neutral straight leg and a left handslide down a slightly suggestive and open (left) leg; the stance says she is open to possibilities but STILL in complete control.
Typical Cortana, holding her cards close to her chest (nudge, nudge, wink, wink) and always keeping the Ace hidden from view…
The addition of clothing: I don’t know. I never felt her naked form solicitous or tempting beyond the obvious curves and stong feminine character. Maybe I’m just weird and overthinking a particular fetish.
I like my Cortana naked and ‘Tangled up in Blue.’
