Life in Plastic, It’s Fantastic

If you have ever wondered what you would get if you crossed one of the most popular music video games with everybody’s favorite colorful interlocking plastic bricks, prepare for enlightenment. The answer comes in the form of a completely bad ass Guitar Hero-themed LEGO stop animation film. Thankfully it is to the tune of Impulse because if it had been to Raining Blood, I probably would have thrown something at my computer monitor. Just in case you couldn’t tell, I still haven’t passed that Slayer song from hell. Don’t worry, I haven’t been bitter about that for the last ten months or anything. I will say this, it really will be raining blood if I don’t pass that fucking song soon. Please excuse me while I go bang my head against the wall. Oh yeah, and enjoy the video.

*A special thank you to penguinish for the tip. Don’t worry, I really don’t mind that you already requested Raining Blood for the next video. Jerk.

You’ve must have never played with LEGO before. There must have been thousands of rearrangements in that video. Merely attaching thousands of pieces takes a long time, but when you also have to detach them…

To put it in more perspective, each note on that lego grid requires 22 actions (11 places and 11 detachments). I looked it up and Impulse has over 1000 notes. That’s over 22000 effective pieces. Most of the really large lego models that are of that piece scale can take weeks or months to build.

  13. I can’t get anywhere near passing Raining Blood five stars in Hard, but when I passed it on even Medium I jumped around the lounge woohooing to myself. It’s sad what smart, intelligent people can be reduced to . . .
