Someone Call the Exterminator

As you read this I am in the middle of writing firestream, the brains behind HaloCharts.com, a very angry letter. After a routine stop to check the current status of my betrayal count (which was disappointingly low, despite what a certain bold-faced liar might tell you), I noticed that the usually exhaustively accurate Halo 3 stat tracking website lists me as having a single extermination. I have no recollection of any such event so I am guessing firestream, out of the kindness of his heart, inflated my numbers ever so slightly to help me feel better about my lack of prowess on the virtual battlefield. Now hear this firestream! (And please picture me violently flailing my fist in the air so I appear more intimidating than my 5’1″ stature allows.) I don’t need your pity of adding a lowly one next to my extermination count you jerk! The least you could have done is bump it to 1,000 or something. Seriously.
While I may be in dire need of some stat adjusting, I don’t think any of the players featured in this Top 10 Halo 3 Exterminations video have any such issue. Actually, they probably have more exterminations than they know what to do with so perhaps firestream will take some of their shiny red skull medals and pass them my way. I’ll check my page again in about an hour, which should give him ample time to work his magic. While we wait for some sort of miracle, just pretend it is me in all of these entertaining film clips. That’s what I did while watching it and boy, do I rock!

As for your “lack of prowess on the virtual battlefield.” I seem to remember that you are usually 2nd or 3rd when it comes to kill count missy!

Lol, I’ve never gotten a single extermination, people just don’t bunch together like that so I can stick them so they all esplode, exterminations usually happen by luck. However, my Overkill count is rising quite happily =P
P.S-What map was that on roughly 4:25? was it an MLG map? because it looks good and I wants it =P

I got my overkill achievements by accident…well the first ones anyway. One was a lucky game on epitaph…i was first to the rockets (for once!!!!) and nailed 4 people just below me. Just gotta get lucky, or wait till the next Brawl and sneak up on ppl “doing achievements”. ;)

It is a MLG map.
I recently had an extermination with one extremely well placed (lucky) plasma grenade on Standoff.
The #1 clip really did deserve to be #1 (for once). Although some of the honourable mentioned should have been in the Top 10…
PS: I hate the way that guys lays out his videos… Not professional at all…
If I had known, mine would’ve gotten an honorable mention for sure.

The second honorable mention was good though.
You might have gotten an extermination in a game of GrifBall? It’s quite common from my experience to get one in there, just weaken all of the enemies when you set off the bomb and you’ll get an extermination typically.

You are 100% correct newguy2445. I actually got an email from firestream this morning with the game link to my extermination. Knowing it came from Grifball should disqualify it entirely. It’s way too easy to rack up medals in that gametype!

Also, I hate it when videos like these feature Griffball kills, I remember on Confirmed kills when Griffball was on it’s 4th maybe 5th weekend, they filmed someone getting a ridiculous killspree, then everyone hated them for it, and then they did it again a few videos later. Griffball robs the spots of people who deserve it.
