You Can Ride in the Basket

Have you ever had what you consider to be an absolutely brilliant idea for an addition to your favorite video game, knowing that if it were to become a reality it would be beyond awesome? Threedy Forums user rubenvoorhees1 found himself in just that position but decided to take it one step further. Already a 3D environment artist, he has a bit of an advantage over the rest of us who are not quite so artistically inclined. His concept is for that of a Halo chopper (not like the one already available in the game) and I must say, it is one bad ass bike. I can picture myself flipping numerous times through the air if grenades exploded in its general vicinity (much like I do on the Mongoose), but I can also imagine shooting at top speed out the mancannon on that thing for the joy ride of my life. What is your opinion of the general concept and design, and do you think it would be an enjoyable and useful addition to the game?

That would be an awesome real world bike to ride.

I can haz chopper? It’d be awesome to do some coding and animations for that thing and turn it into a drivable vehicle for a bunch of games.
Terminator…Terminator who? Back off Arnold because there would be nothing more bad ass than Master Chief on that bike, tooling through Valhalla and gunning down Brutes, n00bs, grunts and the like. =)
As for the ride, the offer still stands but I suggest a lot of hairspray or a Mark VI helmet, whichever sounds more appealing to you. :)
Awesome bike. It would be very fun to ride that around certain levels and try and run people over with it. How truly useful it would be, not sure on that.

O C C Halo 3 chopper…Arby’s head as the gas tank, MC’s helmet as the display, the logo as the wheels….or….
that’s fukin badass. I wonder if the turret would work?
That would certainly be a bad-ass ride, but think of the potential for suicide with poor driving… or betrayals. ;)

I do have one qualm though… the front tire and area near the Bungie symbol should not have a hook-like thing on them… it is too “Brute-esq”.

That would definitely make for a rival to the ghost unlike the suicidal mongoose. I’d always be using that if it was in the game.
Duuuuude! If that was a real bike… I’d get it! Not for the hubby… but for me! He can get his own Playstation custom one haha!
thanks guys for the comment on the bike, its still a work in progress and i plan to have it finished with my own textures. heres some cool tips on it, i made the oil tank under the seat a spartan helmet jaw area, the back of the frame has grnades attached, obviously the turret light on top, gravity hammers as handle bars, warthog tires and warthog points, and the seventh coloum symble on the seat and the bungie logo on the side, and the pelican gas tank. i want to eventualy work for bungie and hopefully sometime soon. so this is my fan art for them.
i would totally get that if it was a real one, and if i had some dough layin around at the time…
They should have commissioned one for the rollout of Halo 3 last year. That would have kicked a$$.

Yeah I remember seeing an episode of choppers or whatever and I saw them make a “football” motorcycle. This would be soooo much cooler.
