Guitar Hero, It’s What’s For Breakfast

guitar hero breakfast cereal toys

Back when I was a kid, we used to get the most awesome prizes in our favorite sugary breakfast cereal. Digging to the very bottom of the box often resulted in such treasures as bicycle license plates, action figures, and miniature Matchbox cars. Sometimes if you were having an exceptionally lucky day you would find yourself the proud owner of the always entertaining wacky wall climber. Remember hurling those ooey gooey octopus creatures furiously at the wall so you could giggle in delight as they slowly somersaulted their way to the floor? Those days are no longer though as the current batch of toys being given away in select Kellogg’s products are teeny tiny plastic Guitar Hero Mini Games. I would be excited if I didn’t remember the Xbox-themed toys they had a few years back that were complete pieces of shit. If it turns out I can finally pass Raining Blood on those suckers, let me know. Otherwise I’ll stick to my granola.

How odd. Here in the UK we call this cereal Kellogg’s Frosties. Frosted Flakes is the name of the supermarket own brand version over here.

Also kids these days get much better freebies than I remember getting in my cereal as a kid. :D

They’re called Frosties in Germany too. But, I remember those “xbox” toys a couple years ago. We’ve got this crappy little ninja game thing. But, eh, I prefer Rock Band, and those mini guitars look rather bad.

:o I find Canada’s choice of name for Frosties to be offensive!
