Last week, according to the comments, I traumatized numerous people with the very dark and disturbing depiction of Cortana I posted. This time around I have decided to be nice (enjoy it while it lasts, it’s typically a very cursory event) and make it up to you. As many of you know, ZZoMBiEXIII of Another Halo Comic Strip recently announced that he will no longer be creating his popular regularly updated comic series. While his fans may still be heartbroken, I’ll be darned if I am going to let him slip away into obscurity. A new Cortana piece appeared in his deviantART gallery a few days ago so that is the delicious piece of eye candy available for your ogling pleasure today. Done in the “Bruce Timm style seen in the Batman and Superman animated series from the 90s”, it has ZZoMBiEXIII written all over it. I love the belly button and … wait, are those bewbs I see?

If the day comes where someone can show me a fan-drawn, sexy cortana rendition and I don’t instantly raise my eyebrows with a smile, you can just knock me out with a shovel and bury me deep in the cold ground. Still sad to know that ZZombie isn’t continuing AHCS, but I guess you can’t force inspiration. For what it was worth, his strip was well drawn, original, and funny; a mixture of “XBL moments” that we can all relate to, as well as sitcom like ‘Arby N’ the Chief’ strips that were great too.
I know I’ve seen him posting here and there on this site. With any luck he reads the comments enough to know how large his fanbase is, and that his regular works will definitely be missed. I really hope that someone with so much artistic talent and humor will not just fade completely out of sight. Maybe he’ll take some time every now and then to humor us when inspiration strikes, but hopefully he’ll always remain tight in the gaming community. Thanks for making us laugh, Zzombie

I am also saddened by ZZoMBiEXIII’s hiatus, however there are some things that cannot be controlled and if he never draws another comic, then at least he can say he went out on a high-note.
=)
I love his Cortana, it works very well in a Harley-Quinn sort of way!

Very nice, the picture of the cursed Cortana has been erased from memory. I would be curious to see what an Adam Hughes rendition or Robert De Jesus interpretation would look like…
And while i’m at it Vallejo, Bell, The Hildebrandt brothers, and Royo should contribute. Make a Cortana gallery from well-known fantasy artists. I would be snapping that book up in a heartbeat :)

Hey, I can’t draw for shit, so don’t mind me. It WOULD be cool if someone were to draw a similar picture in line art that I could turn into a stencil and put on a faceplate. You know… SOMEone…. All I need is a Halo coloring book and I’d be set.
