If this isn’t a coincidence, I don’t know what is. Just as a member of the Halo community manages to get a Gold Elite at the end of Assault on the Control Room back in the original Halo, one of their lower ranked counterparts in the Covenant hierarchy is making an appearance on eBay in the form of a custom McFarlane action figure.

This custom 3” tall Heretic Grunt features “an extremely detailed gold-on-gold paint job with deep metallic shading, bright golden highlights, and worn metal effects”. According to the seller a similar figure was going to be released by Joyride but never made it past the prototype stage. This blinged out little guy is carrying a needler with no plasma grenades in sight so your other action figures should be safe and sound. We can hope anyways.

Bad ass, that is awesome. I just started replaying the Halo 2 campaign on Saturday…what a kowinky-dink.
I never cease to be amazed by the quality of many of the repaints you can find out there. This one is especially good to look at.
